A special Trek Émonda SLR was presented to Alberto Contador on Friday evening at the Vuelta a España team presentation in celebration of his remarkable career. Contador will say good-bye after 14 years as a professional cyclist at the conclusion of the Vuelta on September 10 in Madrid.
The bold signature Grande Alberto theme Émonda SLR celebrates the palmarès of Alberto Contador's cycling career. The unique combination of Quicksilver matte and Metallic Charcoal gloss finish provides a distinct visual line while the frame is decorated with marks that highlight the three grand tours on the seat tube and overall career race victories on the seat stays. The bike also shares Alberto’s personal mantra of “Querer Es Poder” on the downtube, that translates to “where there’s a will there’s a way”.
