Miles Scotson claims bronze in the U23 Men's TT in Doha

Our stagiaire Miles Scotson got today the third place in the U23 men’s time trial at the World Championships in Doha. The Australian rider rode the 29-kilometre time trial in 34'46''.

"I absolutely wanted to be World Champion. I prepared myself for this event. I aimed for the sky. I had a great lead in with great support and left it all out there", Miles Scotson said.

Our stagiaire was one of the first riders underway today. He sat a long time in the 'hot seat' with the German riders Marco Mathis and Maximilian Schachmann. He saw his opponents one by one unable to beat his time. "I got a litte bit nervous at the end when I saw Kämna underway with good intermediate times. I secretly hoped that he cracked under the pressure. I'm more relieved to end up with bronze than happy."

Team manager Jean-François Bourlart is proud of his Australian rider. "I don't work a lot with Australian rider. When I saw the potential of this young rider I was convinced of his qualities. We set an adapted race schedule. In the next few years he will become a world-class rider."
