BARDIANI CSF FAIZANÈ: SECONDO POSTO DI MARTIN MARCELLUSI AL GRAN PREMIO LIBERAZIONE

Dopo la vittoria al Trofeo Piva arriva un’altra ottima prestazione di Martin Marcellusi in una gara riservata agli atleti Under23. Per lui secondo posto di giornata alle spalle del tedesco Henri Uhlig. In precedenza buona azione all’attacco del suo compagno di squadra Alex Tolio. 

Il GP Liberazione si chiude con il secondo posto raggiunto dall’atleta romano Martin Marcellusi in forza al team Bardiani CSF Faizanè, alle spalle di Henri Uhlig (Nazionale Tedesca). 

Stamani erano 6 gli atleti del team al via del Gran Premio Liberazione, tutti atleti Under23 appartenenti al progetto giovani. Tra loro anche i due protagonisti di giornata del team, Alex Tolio e Martin Marcellusi. Bravo infatti a inserirsi in una prima azione a circa 6 giri dal termine Alex Tolio che ha permesso al team di essere presente nel vivo della corsa. A seguire a meno di 15 km dal termine bravo a inserirsi in un gruppo di 6 contrattaccanti Martin Marcellusi che chiude 2° nello sprint finale, dovendosi così accontentare del secondo gradino del podio odierno. 

Queste le parole dell’atleta romano dopo il traguardo:  

“Oggi abbiamo corso veramente bene, prima Alex Tolio era presente nella fuga più corposa di giornata, poi quando a 6 giri dal termine circa erano in 3 davanti, ha lavorato bene per la squadra Alessio Martinelli. Ho quindi deciso di provare ad evadere dal gruppo riportandomi, insieme ad altri 3 atleti sugli attaccanti. Rimasti in 6 ho provato ad attaccare, prima siamo rimasti i 3 del podio finale e infine anche se sullo strappo finale ho provato a spingere non sono riuscito purtroppo a rimanere da solo. Per lo sprint penso di aver fatto tutto il possibile, sono uscito secondo all’ultima curva, affiancandomi poi nel finale all’atleta tedesco non riuscendo a superarlo. Complimenti a lui per la vittoria, ma anche un grazie al mio team che oggi ha corso benissimo. Per me era la prima volta al GP Liberazione e ci tenevo a fare bene ovviamente sono rammaricato per non aver vinto in casa, ieri ero venuto a visionare il tracciato. Ora testa al prossimo appuntamento che sarà la Carpathian Race in Polonia.”

BARDIANI CSF FAIZANÈ: SECOND PLACE OF MARTIN MARCELLUSI IN GP LIBERAZIONE.

After the victory at the Trofeo Piva comes another excellent performance by Martin Marcellusi in a competition reserved to the Under23 riders. For him second place of the day behind the German rider Henri Uhlig. Previously good race also of his teammate Alex Tolio with a good breakaway action.

The GP Liberazione closes with the second place reached by the roman rider Martin Marcellusi of Bardiani CSF Faizanè team, behind Henri Uhlig (German National).

This morning there were 6 riders from the team at the start of the GP Liberazione, all Under23 riders belonging to the youth project of the team. Among them also the two protagonists of the day of the team, Alex Tolio and Martin Marcellusi. In fact, Alex Tolio was very good at starting a first action about 6 laps from the end, which allowed the team to be present at the heart of the race. Following, less than 15 km from the end, Martin Marcellusi is good at joining a group of 6 counterattackers and finishes 2nd in the final sprint. A good results even if with some regrets.

These the riders words after the finish-line: 

“Today we rode really well, first Alex Tolio was present in the heaviest breakaway of the day, then when about 6 laps from the end there were 3 in front, he worked well for the Alessio Martinelli team. So I decided to try to escape from the group by returning, together with 3 other athletes, on the head of the race. Leading the race in 6 riders I tried to attack, first we remained the 3 of the final podium and finally even if on the final climb I tried to push, unfortunately I was unable to remain alone. For the sprint I think I did everything possible, I came out second in the last corner, then joining the German athlete in the final, unable to overtake him. Congratulations to him for the victory, but also thanks to my team who ran very well today. For me it was the first time at the GP Liberazione and I wanted to do well, even if I saw the track for the first time yesterday. Now head to the next round which will be the Carpathian Race in Poland. "
