Lorena Wiebes finished off another impressive display of teamwork today at the Baloise Ladies Tour, making it three back-to-back wins at the race for Wiebes and Team DSM.
The short, flat, fast 82.8 kilometre stage always looked like it suited a bunch sprint, but with the leader's jersey and stage favourite all eyes were on Team DSM to control the race. Keeping things together early in the stage, the team were able to take the first intermediate sprint of the day, before allowing two riders to go clear and controlling the race behind.
After gradually bringing the race back together with just under 10 kilometres to go, the team set the tempo in the finale and set Wiebes up in a perfect position to finish off the job, continuing a great week of teamwork and racing in Belgium for Team DSM.
