The International Association of Riders applauds Egan Bernal, a very young Tour de France winner. The 22-year-old Colombian in yellow jersey, with his deeds in the saddle and his thanksgiving speech in four languages, represented the best face of our movement and the spirit of union between peoples, of which sport is a great vehicle.
The members of the CPA steering committee, who met on 27th and 28th July to address the issues that are most urgent for to the riders they represent, were on the Champs Elysees to congratulate him. On this occasion, President Gianni Bugno welcomed the new Belgian, Polish and English associations that will become official members of the CPA.
The new prize platform was illustrated, which is finally working and ready to bring great advantages to the athletes, guaranteeing maximum transparency and ensuring that all prizes will be paid to the riders. «We invite the riders and teams that have not yet created their profile to enter the missing data to proceed as soon as possible to pay the prizes already deposited by the organizers, in case of need on the platform of the rewards management is available the assistance contact» explains Laura Mora, general secretary of the CPA.
The riders' representatives also took stock of safety in the race, sending their compliments to the organizers of the Grande Boucle for managing the last few days, which were really difficult in terms of climate. «We continue to put forward preventive measures, but it is undeniable that our delegate at the races is already imposing greater attention on the issue in the eyes of the organizers. Sorry for the release of Peter Sagan, Pascal Chanteur in the past three weeks has been very busy asking the judges to extend maximum time limits and feeding zone in the hottest stages. The organizers are more and more sensitive and, allow me, it is also our merit» commented Bugno at the end of the work.
During the Vuelta a España the CPA will examine with the UCI the problems that the athletes and their delegates highlighted at every single race this year to work together constructively for the future.
Another point on the agenda was the transitional fund, for which new funding will be sought to respond to the ever increasing number of questions without weighing on the riders. Regarding the equal agreement, the CPA will meet the sports groups association AIGCP in September to improve the work contract of the riders, with an eye to the minimum salary and insurance. The project to broaden the representation on the territory continues also in the female sphere. Alessandra Cappellotto is giving herself a great deal of work in the UCI commissions and at the competitions, so much so that we can also applaud the birth of a new women's association in France and the CPA is increasingly being listened to by all the stakeholders also as regards the "pink" world.
The CPA Governing Council will meet again at the World Championships in Yorkshire.

L'Association internationale des coureurs applaudit Egan Bernal, très jeune vainqueur du Tour de France. Le colombien de 22 ans en maillot jaune, avec ses exploits en selle et son discours de remerciement en quatre langues, a représenté le meilleur visage de notre mouvement et l'esprit d'union entre les peuples, dont le sport est un excellent véhicule.
A l’applaudir sur les Champs-Élysées il y avait les membres du Comité Directeur du CPA qui se sont réunis les 27 et 28 juillet pour s’occuper des questions qui intéressent le plus les coureurs qu’ils représentent. À cette occasion, le président Gianni Bugno a souhaité la bienvenue aux nouvelles associations belges, polonaises et anglaises qui deviendront membres officiels du CPA lors de la prochaine assemblée.
La nouvelle plateforme des prix a été illustrée, elle est enfin opérationnelle et prête à apporter de grands avantages aux athlètes, en garantissant une transparence maximale et en garantissant que tous les prix seront versés aux coureurs. «Nous invitons les coureurs et les équipes qui n'ont pas encore créé leur profil à saisir les données manquantes afin de procéder au plus vite à payer les prix déjà versés par les organisateurs, en cas de besoin sur la plateforme de gestion des prix est disponible le contact pour recevoir assistance» explique Laura Mora, secrétaire générale du CPA.
Les représentants des coureurs ont également fait le point sur la sécurité en course en adressant leurs compliments aux organisateurs de la Grande Boucle pour leur gestion des derniers jours, qui ont été très difficiles sur le plan climatique.
«Nous continuons à mettre en avant des mesures préventives, mais il est indéniable que notre délégué aux courses impose déjà une plus grande attention à ce sujet aux yeux des organisateurs. Désolé pour les mots de Peter Sagan, Pascal Chanteur au cours des trois dernières semaines a été très occupé à demander aux juges d’allonger les ravitaillements et les délais dans les étapes les plus chaudes. Les organisateurs sont de plus en plus sensibles et, permettez-moi, c'est aussi notre mérite», a commenté Bugno à la fin du travail.
Au cours de la Vuelta a España, le CPA examinera avec l'UCI les problèmes que les athlètes et leurs délégués ont soulignés lors de chaque course cette année pour travailler ensemble de manière constructive pour l’avenir.
Un autre point à l’ordre du jour était le fonds de transition, pour lequel de nouveaux financements seront recherchés pour répondre au nombre croissant de demandes sans peser trop sur les coureurs. En ce qui concerne l’accord paritaire, le CPA rencontrera l’association des groupes sportifs AIGCP en septembre pour améliorer le contrat de travail des coureurs, dans l’optique du salaire minimum et de l’assurance. Le projet d'élargir la représentation sur le territoire se poursuit également dans le secteur féminin. Alessandra Cappellotto se donne beaucoup de travail au sein des commissions UCI et des compétitions de sorte que nous pouvons également nous féliciter de la naissance d’une nouvelle association de cyclistes femmes en France et que le CPA est de plus en plus écouté par toutes les parties prenantes, y compris en ce qui concerne le monde "rose".
Le Comité Directeur du CPA se réunira à nouveau aux championnats du monde dans le Yorkshire.

L’Associazione Internazionale dei Corridori applaude Egan Bernal, giovanissimo vincitore del Tour de France. Il 22enne colombiano in maglia gialla, con le sue gesta in sella e il suo discorso di ringraziamento in quattro lingue, ha rappresentato il volto migliore del nostro movimento e lo spirito di unione tra i popoli, di cui lo sport è un grande veicolo.
Ad applaudirlo sui Campi Elisi c’erano i membri del consiglio direttivo del CPA che il 27 e 28 luglio si sono riuniti per affrontare i temi che stanno più a cuore ai corridori che rappresentano. Nell’occasione il presidente Gianni Bugno ha dato il benvenuto alle nuove associazioni belga, polacca e inglese che diverranno membri ufficiali del CPA.
È stata illustrata la nuova piattaforma premi, che è finalmente operativa e pronta a portare grandi vantaggi agli atleti, garantendo la massima trasparenza e assicurando che tutti i premi verranno versati ai corridori. «Invitiamo i corridori e team che ancora non hanno creato il loro profilo a inserire i dati mancati così da poter procedere quanto prima al pagamento dei premi già depositati dagli organizzatori, in caso di necessità sulla piattaforma della gestione premi è disponibile il contatto a cui rivolgersi per l’assistenza» spiega Laura Mora, segretario generale del CPA.
I rappresentanti dei corridori hanno inoltre fatto il punto sulla sicurezza in gara, inviando i loro complimenti agli organizzatori della Grande Boucle per aver gestito al meglio le ultime giornate, davvero difficili a livello climatico. «Continuiamo ad avanzare misure di prevenzione, ma è innegabile che il nostro delegato alle corse stia già imponendo una maggiore attenzione al tema agli occhi degli organizzatori. Mi spiace per l’uscita di Peter Sagan, Pascal Chanteur nelle scorse tre settimane si è dato molto da fare chiedendo ai giudici di allungare i rifornimenti e i tempi massimi nelle tappe più calde. Gli organizzatori sono sempre più sensibili e, consentitemelo, è anche merito nostro» commenta Bugno al termine dei lavori.
Durante la Vuelta a España il CPA esaminerà con l’UCI le problematiche che gli atleti e i loro delegati hanno evidenziato ad ogni singola corsa di quest’anno per lavorare insieme in modo costruttivo per il futuro.
Un altro punto all’ordine del giorno è stato il fondo di transizione, per il quale si cercheranno nuovi finanziamenti per rispondere alle sempre più numerose domande senza pesare sui corridori. Per quanto riguarda l’accordo paritario, il CPA a settembre incontrerà l’associazione dei gruppi sportivi AIGCP per fare in modo di migliorare il contratto di lavoro dei corridori, con un occhio di riguardo al minimo salariale e all’assicurazione. Il progetto di allargare la rappresentatività sul territorio continua anche in ambito femminile. Alessandra Cappellotto si sta dando un gran da fare nelle commissioni UCI e alle gare tanto che possiamo applaudire anche la nascita di una nuova associazione femminile in Francia e il CPA viene sempre più ascoltato da tutti gli stakeholders anche per quanto riguarda il mondo “rosa”.
Il consiglio direttivo del CPA si riunirà nuovamente in occasione del Campionato del mondo nello Yorkshire.
