TOUR DE FRANCE
GUILLAUME MARTIN AND COFIDIS,
AT THE TOP OF THE CHART!
The leader of the Cofidis team finishes as the best Frenchman of this Tour de France (11th). Alongside him, his team-mates have strongly contributed to animate the race. On ten occasions, the riders of the team were among the 'top 10'.

GUILLAUME MARTIN, LIKE A BOSS
For many, it is a revelation. For him and the Cofidis team, it is a confirmation. Guillaume Martin has played the leading roles during this Tour de France, attacking in the steep finish at Orcières-Morlette and staying for six consecutive stages in the third position in the general classification. The rider from Normandy hasn't left the 'top 15' since the second stage and shows a lot of consistency, despite the heavy competition. A result that owes a lot to the team work: all his team-mates have helped him to achieve it. From now on, Guillaume Martin will focus on the world championships and the Vuelta.

JESUS HERRADA, THE BEAUTIFUL BREAKAWAYS
Vice-champion of Spain and accustomed to breakaways when the road rises, Jesus Herrada has once again demonstrated the extent of his talent. In the first week, he is the only one to follow the rythm of Lutsenko on top of Mount Aigoual (2nd). Less than a week later, between Chauvigny and Sarran, the Spaniard is again on the attack and finishes in a respectable 5th place. He was also in the breakaway group at the very demanding stage between Méribel and La Roche-sur-Foron with Nicolas Edet before assisting Guillaume Martin.

SIMONE CONSONNI, THE ROAR OF THE LYON
At the age of 26, he discovered the Tour de France. Italian Simone Consonni, a devoted team-mate next to Elia Viviani and the whole team, also tried his luck. It was in Lyon and behind the untouchable Kragh Andersen, he overtook the 3rd stage and finished the sprint in front of the leaders like Peter Sagan (4th), Matteo Trentin (7th) or Sonny Colbrelli (9th). Dedicated to his work, Simone is also devoted to words. Catching his breath, with a smile on his face, he admits: "Never could I be in such a position without my teammates".

EDET ET PERICHON, THE PERFECT TEAMMATES
Their mission was to protect Guillaume Martin in all circumstances. And they succeeded all along these 21 steps. Nicolas Edet and Pierre-Luc Perichon have also integrated some breakaways: the first one by attacking in the Massif Centrale and the Alps, the second one by appearing on the forefront last Friday and this Sunday on the Champs-Elysées.

WITH VIVIANI ET LAPORTE, TEN "TOP 10" IN 21 STAGES
Elia Viviani had opened the way in Nice (6th) and also took a good position in Ile d'Oléron (4th). Christophe Laporte managed to take 4th place in Lavaur. Nicolas Edet showed a great performance in the Massif-Centrale, in Le Puy-Mary (6th). On the other hand, Guillaume Martin, Jésus Herrada (twice) and Simone Consonni also made it in the top 10. In total the riders of Cofidis team have managed to get in "Top 10" ten times during this Tour de France.

"ANTHO PÉREZ" HAD PAVED HIS WAY
There is his smile, his good mood and also his desire to make a name for himself. From the 2nd stage, Anthony Pérez has integrated the breakaway through the col de Turini. The next day, a new breakaway and still "Antho" among the leaders. Even better, he was in the lead on two climbs and became virtually a polka dot jersey.
A dream that unfortunately came to an end because of a fall that forced him to leave the race. Since then, Anthony Pérez continues his re-education and is determined to do everything to get back to competition as soon as possible.
