Giornata in avanscoperta per Kristijan Durasek nella 12^tappa del Tour de France, la Lannemezan-Plateau de Beille di 195 km.
Il croato della LAMPRE-MERIDA (foto Bettini), già vincitore in stagione del Giro di Turchia e di una tappa del Giro di Svizzera, ha dato grande visibilità alla maglia blu-fucsia-verde sulle tante salite che caratterizzavano il percorso della tappa pirenaica: nell'ordine, il Col de Portet d'Aspet (2^categoria), il Cole de la Core (1^categoria), il Port de Lers (1^categoria) e l'ascesa finale verso i 1780 metri di altitudine di Plateau de Beille (hors categorie).
Dopo 20 km di corsa, Durasek pedalava già in avanscoperta assieme ad altri 21 attaccanti, in un drappello ben assortito che, con buona armonia, è arrivato ad accumulare un vantaggio sul gruppo della maglia gialla superiore ai 14'.
L'atleta della LAMPRE-MERIDA si è tolto la soddisfazione di transitare per primo con la Merida Scultura sul Col de la Core, senza però trovare la stessa brillantezza lungo le rampre del Port de Lers: il croato, non riuscendo a seguire gli allunghi di alcuni dei fuggitivi, ha calato il proprio ritmo, venendo raggiunto e superato dagli inseguitori, chiudendo al 60° posto.
Per Durasek, quella odierna è stata la seconda fuga al Tour de France 2015, avendo lo scalatore croato già trascorso in avanscoperta praticamente l'intera 7^tappa (ripreso a 15 km dal traguardo di Fougères).
La tappa è stata vinta da Rodriguez su Fuglsang, entrambi membri della fuga di giornata.
In classifica generale, Froome ha controllato la situazione confermando la sua maglia gialla.

What an impressive day for Kristijan Durasek in the 12th stage of the Tour de France, 195 km from Lannemezan to Plateau de Beille.
The Croatian climber from LAMPRE-MERIDA (photo Bettini), who already won in this season the Tour of Turkey and one stage in the Tour de Suisse, gave high visibility to the blue-fuchsia-green jersey on the bunch of climbs which characterized the Pyrenean course: the Col de Portet d'Aspet (2nd category), the Cole de la Core (1st category), the Port de Lers (1st category) and the final climb to the 1780 mt altitudine of Plateau de Beille (hors categorie).
After 20 km in the stage, Durasek was already in the front of the race with other 21 attackers, in a group which pedaled with a good cooperation and which could have a maximum advantage of 14'.
LAMPRE-MERIDA's athlete had the satisfaction of reaching in the 1st position the Col de la Core on his Merida Scultura, but he did not succeed in pedaling with the same efficency on the Port de Lers and he could not follow the attacks of some of the former members of the breakaway.
He was dropped and, after having being reached by the chasers, he completed the race in 60th position.
Today breakaway was the second time that Durasek spent a day in the front of the race: he had been protagonist of a breakaway in the 7th stage (Livarot-Fougères).
No changes in the overall classification, which is still led by Froome.
