Lela Rose does not wear all black. The NYC based designer is always seen in full color, bold and bright and welcoming.
As a fashion designer, I am always focused on style and presentation and I find that athletic wear is often overlooked as a category needing style. This was a perfect opportunity to inject a more feminine look into a category that has traditionally taken it's style cues from men's cycling. I wanted the print to be feminine but work on a dark background so that it didn't feel too much of a departure. I included citrine, a signature color.
The Zinnia Collection captures Lela's sensibility in a bright take on technically driven design. Based on the Signature Bib Short and our light weight pattenered jerseys, the Zinnia Collection is offered as a full kit and a Wind Vest in Lela's highly visible citrine.
