Maser (Treviso), 02 settembre 2019 - Mattatore in Coppa del Mondo, Campione Europeo e ora anche Campione del Mondo. Stiamo parlando di Vlad Dascalu, è lui l’astro nascente della mountain bike. 21 anni, rumeno di nascita ma residente in Spagna corre per il Brujula Bike Racing Team, team spagnolo che è sponsorizzato da Sidi. 

In questa stagione 2019 il suo talento è letteralmente esploso. Nella categoria Under23 il rider rumeno sta dominando. Vlad, un nome importante e che incute timore ricordando quello di Vlad Tepes famoso condottiero ed eroe nazionale rumeno. Di sicuro il nostro Vlad Dascalu ha iniziato a fare paura ai suoi avversari sui campi di gara di tutto il mondo. Le prime vittorie in Coppa del Mondo dove guida la classifica a una gara dal termine avendo ottenuto quattro successi (Nove Mesto, Andorra, Les Gets e Val di Sole), poi il Titolo Europeoconquistato a Brno in luglio e ora la maglia più importante, quella iridata di Campione del Mondo vinta in Canada, in Quebec a Mont-Sainte-Anne.



Una prova da incorniciare quella del giovane rider rumeno ai mondiali. In Canada infatti Vlad tra gli Under23 ha messo in fila tutti gli avversari precedendo nettamente sul traguardo gli svizzeri Filippo Colombo, secondo a + 1:57” e Vital Albin, terzo a +2:06”.

Per Sidi ancora una volta c’è la soddisfazione di avere trovato e portato al successo un nuovo giovane talento. Con Vlad Dascalu ci sono infatti le calzature Sidi MTB Tiger Srs Carbon. We are talking about Vlad Dascalu, a rising star in the mountain bike universe. He is 21 years old, was born in Rumania but is a Spanish resident. He rides for the Brujula Bike Racing Team, a Spanish formation that is sponsored by Sidi. 

In this 2019 season, his talent has really skyrocketed. The Romanian rider is dominating the Under23 class. Vlad is an important name that strikes fear, recalling the famous “bloody warlord” and Rumanian national hero Vlad Tepes. Our own Vlad Dascalu has definitely started to intimidate his adversaries on race tracks throughout the world. First, there are his victories in the World Cup series, where he is leading the standings with one race left, having already obtained four successes (Nove Mesto, Andorra, Les Gets and Val di Sole); then there is the European title he captured at Brno last July; and now he is wearing the symbol of his most important accomplishment, the rainbow World Champion’s jersey, which he won in Quebec, Canada, at Mont-Sainte-Anne.

The young Romanian rider’s test at the World Championships will be one to remember. In fact, in the Under23 race in Canada, Vlad put all his adversaries in line, coming over the finish line well ahead of his closest competition, Switzerland’s Filippo Colombo, who was second at + 1:57” and Vital Albin, third at +2:06”.

Once again, Sidi is enjoying the satisfaction of having found a new young talent and carried him to success. Vlad Dascalu proudly wears the Sidi MTB Tiger Srs Carbon shoes. This is an historic prize, since this is the first Romanian gold medal in the 30-year history of the Mountain Bike World Championships. For Vlad Dascalu, this win is also worth a direct pass to the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. It’s a victory that is likely to see him grow and continue inspiring.
