TOUR OF CROATIA: DOPPIO PODIO PER LA NIPPO VINI FANTINI. EDUARD GROSU E NICOLAS MARINI ALLE SPALLE DI SACHA MODOLO.

2 #OrangeBlue sul podio di giornata, 3 in top10 e il secondo trionfo europeo e stagionale è rimandato di un soffio. Vince Sacha Modolo su Eduard Grosu e Nicolas Marini, con Marco Canola che si piazza in 7^ posizione. Tutte le ruote veloci del team scatenate alla ricerca della vittoria per il team.

Tour of Croatia, tappa 1: Osijek  ›  Koprivnica - 217km

Il team NIPPO Vini Fantini sfiora un grande successo in Croazia, nella prestigiosa gara che vede al via molti big in preparazione del #Giro100. Solo Sacha Modolo (UAE Abu Dhabi) riesce a resistere alla potente progressione del giovane velocista rumeno Eduard Grosu, 2° al traguardo, e alla volata del giovane talento italiano Nicolas Marini, 3° sulla linea del traguardo. Alle loro spalle Dylan Page (Caja Rural), Giacomo Nizzolo (Trek-Segafredo) e Riccardo Minali (Astana Pro Team) che precedono un altro #OrangeBlue, il vincitore di Limburg Marco Canola.

Un doppio podio di giornata in una top10 di grande spessore per i due giovani talenti lanciati nel professionismo dal team NIPPO Vini Fantini, entrambi già vincenti nelle stagioni passate, già a podio in quella attuale, ma alla ricerca del loro primo colpo del 2017.

LA GARA.

Gara caratterizzata da una fuga di 5 corridori con l’inseguimento da parte del gruppo e in particolare dei team “interessati” all’arrivo in volata. Tra questi sicuramente il team #OrangeBlue che sin dall’inizio non ha nascosto le proprie ambizioni per le tappe con arrivi congeniali ai propri velocisti. In una tappa lunga di 217 km duro e importante lavoro svolto dal Giapponese Kazushige Kuboki e dall’esperto uomo squadra Alan Marangoni che hanno contribuito con forza al recupero del gruppo sulla fuga che aveva accumulato un notevole vantaggio. A Riccardo Stacchiotti il compito di guidare le ruote veloci del team sulla testa del gruppo nel momento cruciale e quindi spazio ai giovani talenti del team Nicolas Marini ed Eduard Grosuche chiudono con il doppio podio di giornata. 

LE DICHIARAZIONI.

Stefano Giuliani, il DS e stratega di questa intensa tappa, racconta così: “Con i ragazzi ci siamo detti di crederci, sempre e fino infondo. Oggi l’abbiamo fatto ancor di più, con la fuga andata a oltre 10 minuti abbiamo deciso di prendere noi in mano la situazione e andare a chiudere. Le prime tappe sono sempre strane ma non abbiamo voluto aspettare gli altri. Sono stati bravissimi Marangoni e Kuboki in questo, poi all’ultimo GPM ha attaccato forte Canola, ma non ha trovato la collaborazione dei compagni di fuga, quindi siamo andati alla volata con Marini guidato benissimo da Stacchiotti e Grosu libero di fare la sua volata. Risultato? Entrambi sul podio e per un soffio non abbiamo vinto, Grosu infatti è rimasto un pò chiuso prima dello sprint. Faccio i complimenti a tutti i ragazzi perchè abbiamo corso da squadra vera. A volte il risultato non arriva, oggi c’è scappato di pochissimo il più grosso, ma abbiamo dimostrato di essere competitivi e forti. Ora speriamo di fare ancor meglio nelle prossime tappe”. 

Eduard Grosu, giovane talento rumeno classe 1992 lanciato dal team NIPPO Vini Fantini  è secondo sulla linea del traguardo. Questo il suo commento all’arrivo: “Tappa lunga e dura, ma alla fine abbiamo dimostrato di avere un’ottima gamba. Siamo qui per competere sopratutto negli sprint. Il percorso è misto non tutte le tappe sono adatte, ma questa e la sesta in particolare sono adatte alle ruote veloci. Il livello degli avversari è alto, ma oggi abbiamo dimostrato che la gamba è buona e che possiamo giocarci la vittoria.”

Nicolas Marini, il giovane velocista italiano classe 1993, lanciato tra i PRO dal team NIPPO Vini Fantini conquista un importante podio: “Il team ha corso una grandissima gara. Anzitutto dobbiamo ringraziare Kazushige Kuboki e Alan Marangoni che hanno svolto un grandissimo lavoro per la squadra, poi Riccardo Stacchiotti ci ha portato all’ultima curva sulle ruote dei migliori. Io e Grosu abbiamo scelto due “ruote” differenti, e ci siamo lanciati molto bene in volata. Bellissimo il doppio podio, peccato per il gradino più alto solo sfiorato. Vincere sarebbe stato bellissimo, sopratutto qui in Europa dove il livello è molto alto, ma ci riproveremo.”

Tour of Croatia che si concluderà domenica, prima altre 5 tappe con andamento misto (2 per scalatori) e con una tappa conclusiva potenzialmente adatta alle ruote veloci del team. 

Il team NIPPO Vini Fantini ha dimostrato di esserci e di poter essere competitivo in vista dei prossimi importanti traguardi.

2 #OrangeBlue on the podium of the first stage. Waiting for the second European victory of the season the team went very close, with the 2° place of Eduard Grosu and the 3rd place of Nicolas Marini, with also Marco Canola in the 7th position.

Tour of Croatia, stage 1: Osijek  ›  Koprivnica - 217km

The team NIPPO Vini Fantini went very close to the success in Croazia, in the important race with a start-list with many big preparing the #Giro100. Only Sacha Modolo (UAE Abu Dhabi) was able to resist to the powerful progression of the young sprinter Eduard Grosu, 2nd on the finish line, and to the fast sprint of Nicolas Marini, the young Italian sprinter.

Behind them Dylan Page (Caja Rural), Giacomo Nizzolo (Trek-Segafredo), Riccardo Minali (Astana Pro Team) and Marco Canola (NIPPO Vini Fantini).

A double podium in a strong top10 that confirm the talent of the two young talents launched by the NIPPO Vini Fantini team looking for the success in 2017 season after the victories of the last season.

 
THE RACE.

Long stage with an escape of 5 riders and the group with many minutes to close. The teams interested in a sprint arrival have been working strong, among them the NIPPO Vini Fantini team with the Japanese rider Kazushige Kuboki and Alan Marangoni working hard to catch the breakaway. Riccardo Stacchiotti had the final role to help the sprinters of the team to be in the top of the group at the last bend and at the end double possibility for Eduard Grosu and Nicolas Marini to fight for the final victory and reaching a double podium.

THE DECLARATIONS:

Stefano Giuliani, the Sports Directors and strategist of this incredible stage, tell these words at the end of the race: “With the riders this morning we know that we can compete, always against everyone, until the end. Today we made it at the top,with the escape that had more than 10 minutes of advantage we decided as a team to risk and start the chase. First stages here are always strage, but we don’t want to depend from other strategies. Marangoni and Kuboki made an extraordinary job, then Marco Canola made an attack on the last GPM, but he didn’t find collaboration from the other riders with him, so we play for the final sprint with Stacchiotti helping mainly Nicolas Marini and Eduard Grosu free to find his sprint as he is able to do. The result? Both on podium and we didn’t win for very few. I have to make my congratulations to the guys, because we race as a big and a strong team. Sometimes the result didn’t come, but when you race as we did today you at least go very close to it. We demonstrate to be competitive and strong. Now we hope to do also better in next stages.”

Eduard Grosu, young talent, Rumanian of 1992 launched by the NIPPO Vini Fantini team and second on the finish line. This is his comment on the finish line: “Long and hard stage, but at the end we demonstrate to have a strong leg. We are here to compete in particular way in the sprint arrivals. The stage are mixed and not everyone is good for us, but this one and the sixth in particular way are good for the fast riders. The level of competitors is very high, but we demonstrate that the leg is good and that we can fight for victory.” 

Nicolas Marini, the young Italian sprinter born in 1993, launched among PROs by the NIPPO Vini Fantini team reach an important podium: “The team ride a great race. We have to thanks all our teammates, from Kuboki and Marangoni that made a great job for the team, to Riccardo Stacchiotti that drives us on the best riders in the most important moment for the sprint. Both me and Grosu we made the sprint, making different choice of top riders to follow and we made a double podium going very close to the victory.  To win here in Europe with this level is not easy, but we will try again."

The Tour of Croatia will end next Sunday. 5 more stages are coming with a mixed kind of road, 2 stage for climber, 2 mixed stages and the last stage designed again for sprinters.

The NIPPO Vini Fantini team demonstrated to be there and to be able to compete also looking forward to next important arrivals.
