After being set up well and protected by the team, Michael Storer attacked solo and triumphed over the climbs at the Tour de l'Ain for Team DSM today.
The final stage at the Tour de l'Ain saw the bunch take on the queen stage of the race with almost 3000 metres of climbing packed into 120 kilometres of action. Setting out with a plan, the team worked to keep Storer safe before he showed his good climbing legs and went solo on the last categorised climb. Continuing to push the power on the ascent up to the finish, Storer dug as deep as he could all the way to the line, before sitting up to celebrate, claiming a brilliant win and securing the overall GC for Team DSM.
