Solo attack from Zukowsky wins KOM competition at Paris-Camembert


Racing for 196 km along the French countryside sounds like a dream but the constant fighting for position on narrow farm roads can take its toll.

Fortunately for Canadian U23 road champ Nickolas Zukowsky, he didn’t have to worry about any of that during the one-day race Paris-Camembert. Soon after the flag dropped on the French Classic, Zukowsky forced his way clear of the peloton with two other riders, not to be seen again for over 160 km.

During their daring escape, “Zuk” swept up maximum points over the first six categorized climbs to handily win the Mountains Classification. Chapeau, Nick!
