Happy New Year!

Another year is done and dusted and we're into the 20s with new rosters and plenty of racing already on the cards.

We will start the year, sporting the same Mitchelton-SCOTT name and look, with another full Australian campaign of racing.

For the first time in our colours, 2018 Vuelta a Espana champion Simon Yates is in Australia, whilst world championship medalist Amanda Spratt and South African champion Daryl Impey are back for more history making achievements at the Tour Down Under.

  • 8 - 12 January: Australian Championships
  • 16 - 19 January: Women's Tour Down Under
  • 19 - 26 January: Men's Tour Down Under

Simon Yates starts in Australia on way to a Giro return in 2020


“I would love to hit the ground running..."

Two-time 2019 Tour de France stage winner Simon Yates will start his 2020 season in Australia, for the first time since joining Mitchelton-SCOTT, before rebuilding for a return to the Giro d’Italia.

Yates will complete a full Australian campaign, kick starting in Adelaide for the Santos Tour Down Under, before heading to Victoria for the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race and a mountainous Jayco Herald Sun Tour.

Building On Strong Foundations: Looking for more results in more races

Mitchelton-SCOTT will boast its most international roster since the team’s inception in 2020, as they look to build on consistent results and dominant performances, with the exciting and motivating addition of the world championship rainbow jersey.

As one of the eight registered UCI Women's WorldTour teams for 2020, Mitchelton-SCOTT head into their ninth racing season with a fortified group, thanks to the addition of two new international riders, 33-year-old Dutch rider Janneke Ensing and 20-year-old Briton Jessica Roberts.

Wins from January to October: Mitchelton-SCOTT men confirm roster and goals for 2020

Mitchelton-SCOTT has confirmed its 28-rider men’s squad for the 2020 season, one of the most stable squads in the team’s history, looking to add another consistent season with victories from January to October.

In 2020, the focus will be to continue a winning culture, providing exposure all season for sponsors, whilst continuing a specific target to perform in each of the three Grand Tours.

Spratt daring to dream of a fourth consecutive Santos Women's Tour Down Under victory

Three-time winner of the Santos Women’s Tour Down UnderAmanda Spratt, will return to Adelaide in January with high ambitions of etching her name deeper into the history books, as she dreams of a fourth consecutive victory at the event.

Over the past three years, Spratt has displayed unwavering dominance at the Australian race, picking up stage victories in each edition on her way to securing the overall title.

Impey looking for another taste of history at the Tour Down Under

“I think my chances are as good as all the other favourites..."

Back-to-back and defending champion Daryl Impey will return to the Santos Tour Down Under in January next year looking to take another piece of history at the Australian WorldTour event.

In 2019, Impey became the first rider in the race’s 21-year history to successfully defend his 2018 overall title.  Whilst another successful campaign would leave Impey one short of former Mitchelton-SCOTTteammate Simon Gerrans’ four victories, the South African would be the first male to win three editions consecutively.
