Robin Carpenter wins stage 2 at Tour of Britain, moves into overall race lead

  

Rally Cycling's Robin Carpenter became the first American to win a stage of the Tour of Britain on Monday, leaving his breakaway companions behind to claim a solo victory on stage 2.

The man from Philly now leads the race by 22 seconds over Team Jumbo-Visma's Wout van Aert.

Stagiaire Raphaël Parisella takes sprint competition at Tour du Doubs

  

In only his second race with the team, 18-year-old Canadian Raphaël Parisella infiltrated the breakaway at Tour du Doubs and handily won the sprint classification.

The future is bright for Parisella who hailed the day as, "a stride in the right direction.”
