UAE Team Emirates will continue their late-season racing program with a selection of races across Italy and Belgium. First up will be the Giro della Toscana and the GP Wallonie (13 Sept) followed by the Coppa Sabatini (14 Sept), Super 8 Classic & Memorial Marco Pantani (16 Sept) and Trofeo Matteotti (17 Sept).

Tadej Pogačar will once again pin on a race number following a break since the World Championships. The Slovenian will look to get some precious racing kilometres in his legs ahead of the final monument of the year, Il Lombardia, next month.

Pogačar : “I had a good break since the World Championships. I think it was necessary and I’m feeling quite refreshed and eager again to tackle this final period in Italy. It’s one of my favourite times of year and there is always a great atmosphere around in the build up to Lombardia.”

Pogačar’s compatriot, young Slovenian rider Gal Glivar will make his debut for the team as a stagiaire.

The teams in Italy will be led by Sports Director Marco Marcato while Fabio Baldato will take charge in Belgium.
