NIPPO VINI FANTINI: QUARTO POSTO E MAGLIA COMBATTIVITÀ PER MARCO CANOLA AL COLORADO CLASSIC.

Marco Canola conquista la quarta posizione nella terza tappa del Colorado Classic al termine di una giornata caratterizzata ancora una volta dal maltempo. Altra TOP 5 per il corridore #OrangeBlue che cercherà il successo nell’ultima tappa di Denver, in cui correrà con la maglia di Corridore più Aggressivo.

Un’altro piazzamento TOP 5 per il team NIPPO Vini Fantini impegnato in America al Colorado Classic. Marco Canola conquista il quarto posto di giornata al termine di una dura gara resa difficile dalla pioggia. Il corridore #OrangeBlue, vincitore del primo GPM, correrà l’ultima tappa di Denver con la maglia “Orange” di corridore più Aggressivo. Si tratta di un riconoscimento che testimonia ancora una volta la determinazione e la voglia di ottenere risultati con cui corre il prossimo Capitano del team NIPPO Vini Fantini.

Buona la prestazione di Ivan Santaromita, che rimane nel primo gruppo degli inseguitori e aiuta Marco Canola per l’arrivo finale, e di Yuma Koishi. Il corridore Giapponese riesce ad entrare nella prima importante fuga di giornata, ma una caduta lo porta ad essere ripreso dal resto del gruppo.

LA GARA

La terza tappa del Colorado Classic 2017 si corre a Denver, in un circuito di 127,5km e con 2 GPM da scalare. La classifica generale vede i primi 3 corridori in una manciata di secondi, per cui il gruppo controlla la gara e i singoli attacchi. All’inizio della salita di Coal Creek un gruppo di 13 corridori, tra cui l’#OrangeBlue Yuma Koishi, decide di attaccare andando a guadagnare una ventina di secondi dal resto del gruppo. I fuggitivi faticano a collaborare, per cui 3 corridori attaccano nuovamente per guadagnare la testa della corsa. Ai 3 corridori se ne aggiungono presto altri 5, tra i quali Marco Canola, Manuel Senni e Serghei Tvetcov. Marco Canola vince il primo GPM di giornata, ma all’inizio della seconda salita Senni e Tvetcov sferrano l’attacco decisivo che li porterà a giocarsi la vittoria finale. Il corridore #OrangeBlue, aiutato dal compagno di squadra Ivan Santaromita rientrato nel gruppo degli inseguitori, conquista il quarto posto al termine della volata.

IL PROTAGONISTA

Marco Canola all’arrivo commenta con queste parole la gara appena conclusa: “Sentivo di star bene per cui ho deciso di entrare nel gruppo di testa durante la prima salita, andando a vincere il primo GPM. Davanti andavano molto forte e sia io che Ivan Santaromita abbiamo fatto del nostro meglio per cercare di tenere il loro passo. Sull’ultima salita l’attacco di Senni e Tvetcov è stato decisivo.” Sulle prossime gare il corridore #OrangeBlue è fiducioso: “Domani darò il meglio per ottenere un importante risultato nella gara conclusiva del Colorado Classic. Sono convinto che questo tour Americano mi abbia portato nella condizione giusta per raggiungere risultati nella parte finale di stagione.”

Domani a Denver il team sarà impegnato nell’ultimo appuntamento del Colorado Classic. La gara verrà trasmessa su Eurosport dalle 21:30.

NIPPO VINI FANTINI: 4TH PLACE AND MOST AGGRESSIVE JERSEY FOR MARCO CANOLA AT COLORADO CLASSIC.

Marco Canola achieved the 4th position on the 3rd stage of Colorado Classic at the end of the stage marked again by the rain. Another TOP 5 for the #OrangeBlue rider who will ride on the tomorrow stage with the Most Aggressive rider jersey.

12 August 2017, Colorado Classic - Stage 3.

Another TOP 5 placement for NIPPO Vini Fantini team engaged in America at Colorado Classic. Marco Canola achieved the 4th place at the end of a strong race that had been made difficult by the rain. The #OrangeBlue rider, the winner of first KOM, will ride the last stage in Denver wearing the “Orange” jersey, as most aggressive rider. This jersey demonstrating again the determination of the next NIPPO Vini Fantini leader. Great stage also for Ivan Santaromita, that remains in the first chase group and helps Marco Canolafor the final sprint, and Yuma Koishi. The Japanese rider took part in the first breakaway but crashed and was picked up by the peloton.

THE RACE

The third stage of Colorado Classic 2017 was held in Denver, in a 127,5 kilometres circuit with 2 KOM to climb. The top three rider in the general ranking started the stage within few seconds of each other, for that reason the peloton was attentive to any attack. At the start of Coal Creek mountain 13 riders, including the #OrangeBlue Yuma Koishi,decided to attack gaining 20 second from the rest of the group. The escapees doesn’t cooperate well and 3 riders attack again to became the new leaders. Marco Canolabefore and other 4 riders, including Manuel Senni and Serghei Tvetcov, bridged across from the peloton and joined up with the leaders. Marco Canola won the first KOM but at the start of the second climb Senni and Tvetcov attacked and this was decisive for the end of the stage. The #OrangeBlue rider, helped by Ivan Santaromita came from the back in the chase group, achieved the 4th place at the end of the sprint.

THE DECLARATION OF THE RIDER

Marco Canola comments with this words the stage: “I felt really good, for that reason I joined the leaders on the first climb and I won the KOM. The front of the race went really fast and me with Ivan Santaromita did our best to close the gap. At the second clip the Senni and Tvetcov attack was decisive”. The #OrangeBlue rider is confident for next races: “I’ll do my best on tomorrow final stage to achieve important result. I’m sure that this American tour give me the physical condition to get results in the final part of the season”.

Tomorrow in Denver the NIPPO Vini Fantini team will be committed on the final stage of Colorado Classic. The race will be LIVE on Eurosport from 21:30.
