Along with MohoriÄ’s performance, Dylan Teuns secured a top ten finish in the overall, placing 8th while Phil Bauhaus claimed a stage win on the opening day. |
Tim Harris: “We can go home quite satisfied from Tour of Poland. We had a stage win and a yellow jersey on the first day with Phil Bauhaus, and he had second overall with Matej MohoriÄ. We also had very good stage placing with Matej twice being second and once third. It’s slightly frustrating he didn’t win the stage, but we’ll have to accept that. All the team rode well every day, we tried to control the races as much as we could. In the end, it came down to the time trial battle, where Matej did a very good time. In general, we should be content with second place overall.”

Matej Mohoric: “We came here to the Tour de Pologne with a mission to be good in GC and win sprint stages. Phil took the pressure off us when he took a win on the first stage. The atmosphere was good throughout the race, the teamwork was incredible, and I must thanks all the riders and staff of Team Bahrain Victorious for the great work during the race. Second place in GC is a very good result. It’s been a lot of second and third places lately, but hopefully, we see some victories coming in the future, the season is not quite finished yet, and there are some important races coming up and I’m already looking up to them.” |
