GREEN PROJECT BARDIANI-CSF FAIZANÈ: TAPPA REGINA DEL GIRO DI SICILIA. 10° POSTO DI TAPPA E 11° POSTO IN CLASSIFICA GENERALE PER SAMUELE ZOCCARATO

Quarta Tappa conclusiva del Giro di Sicilia, il protagonista di giornata per il #greenteam è Samuele Zoccarato con una fuga delle sue di 160km.

4000m di dislivello complessivi nella quarta e ultima tappa del Giro di Sicilia, iniziata con un tentativo di fuga di Alessandro Tonelli neutralizzato dal gruppo principale. L’attacco di Martin Marcellusi e Samuele Zoccarato al km 60, fondamentale il lavoro di Marcellusi fino ai piedi della salita dell'Etna che ha permesso a Zoccarato di vincere il GPM. Il corridore veneto rimarrà in fuga per 160km tenendo la ruota dei migliori, giungerà al traguardo in 10° posizione. Il Giro di Sicilia lo vince Alexey Lutsenko dell'Astana Qazakstan Team.

Samuele Zoccarato arriverà inoltre 11° in classifica generale dietro a Damiano Caruso, vincitore della scorsa edizione del Giro di Sicilia. L'atleta Padovano, con la tappa di oggi, rafforza la leadership come corridore che da inizio anno ha fatto più km di fuga, in totale 1182km.

GREEN PROJECT BARDIANI-CSF FAIZANÈ: QUEEN STAGE OF THE GIRO DI SICILIA, 10TH PLACE IN THE STAGE AND 11TH IN THE GENERAL CLASSIFICATION FOR SAMUELE ZOCCARATO

Fourth final stage of the Giro di Sicilia, the star of the day for the #greenteam was Samuele Zoccarato with a breakaway of his own of 160km.

4000m of total elevation gain in the fourth and final stage of the Giro di Sicilia, which began with an attempted breakaway by Alessandro Tonelli that was neutralised by the main group. The attack by Martin Marcellusi and Samuele Zoccarato at km 60, Marcellusi's work up to the foot of Mount Etna was fundamental, allowing Zoccarato to win the GPM. The rider from Veneto stayed in the breakaway for 160km, keeping the wheel of the best riders, arriving at the finish line in 10th position. The Giro di Sicilia was won by Alexey Lutsenko of Astana Qazakstan Team.

Samuele Zoccarato will also finish 11th in the general classification behind Damiano Caruso, winner of last year's Giro di Sicilia. The rider from Padova, with today's stage, strengthens his leadership as the rider who has covered the most kilometres in a breakaway since the start of the year, a total of 1182km.
