GRANDE VITTORIA DI GIOVANNI LONARDI AL TOUR OF ANTALYA, PRIMO SUCCESSO STAGIONALE PER LA BARDIANI CSF FAIZANÈ.

Sotto una pioggia battente, in una volata con condizioni al limite, il giovane velocista veronese conquista la seconda tappa del Tour of Antalya finalizzando il grande lavoro svolto da tutta la squadra che ha permesso prima di chiudere sulla fuga e poi di sfoltire il gruppo.

Giovanni Lonardi mette a segno il primo colpo stagionale della Bardiani CSF Faizanè. Una vittoria voluta e cercata da tutta la squadra che ha lavorato e creduto nelle capacità del giovane velocista veronese che ha ripagato gli sforzi dei compagni finalizzando il lavoro nel migliore dei modi. Per lui primo successo stagionale, il terzo della sua giovanissima carriera.

IL LAVORO DI SQUADRA E LA VITTORIA.

Giovanni Lonardi è infatti all’inizio del suo secondo anno tra i professionisti, dove sta già dimostrando ottime capacità da velocista, capace di tenere il ritmo dei migliori anche in tappe miste. Forti di queste sue caratteristiche la squadra ha lavorato, insieme ad altri team, in testa al gruppo prima per chiudere sui fuggitivi di giornata, ripresi sul GPM di Yesilkoy, che successivamente per sfoltire il gruppo. La pioggia e una tappa con qualche asperità hanno ridotto così il gruppo dei migliori a circa una trentina di unità. Ai meno 5 km dal traguardo una caduta che ha coinvolto anche Giovanni Lonardi, bravo ad alzarsi subito e scortato dai compagni ha potuto dare il meglio di se nella volata finale regolata del velocista in maglia ciclamino. Grazie alla vittoria odierna Giovanni Lonardi è anche il nuovo leader della classifica generale.

Le parole di Giovanni Lonardi:

“Oggi volevamo ridurre il gruppo prima dello sprint per avere una volata più ristretta rispetto alla prima tappa e ci siamo riusciti, i miei compagni hanno lavorato molto bene portandomi al meglio sul traguardo, devo davvero ringraziarli è stato un ottimo lavoro di squadra. La vittoria l’ho cercata davvero tanto in questi primi mesi di gara ora che è arrivata sono davvero felice per me e per tutta la squadra. Qui la qualità è cresciuta rispetto allo scorso anno e solo con un grande lavoro di squadra potevamo vincere. Domani si arriva in salita sarò io ad aiutare i miei compagni, poi domenica nell’ultima tappa vedremo, potremmo anche riprovarci in volata.” 

IL PRIMO MESE DEL TEAM: 1 VITTORIA, 3 PODI, 12 TOP10.

Con il Tour of Antalya si concluderà il primo mese abbondante di attività del team. In circa un mese di corse, in ben 3 continenti, tra Argentina, Colombia, Spagna, Italia, Malesia e Turchia la squadra ha raccolto 1 vittoria, ad opera appunto di Giovanni Lonardi, 3 podi conquistati da Matteo Pelucchi e Marco Benfatto alla Vuelta San Juan e al Tour de Langkawi e ben 12 top10.

GREAT VICTORY OF GIOVANNI LONARDI IN TOUR OF ANTALYA. FIRST SEASONAL SUCCESS ALSO FOR THE BARDIANI CSF FAIZANÈ.

Heavy rain today in Antalya. In a sprint with extreme conditions, the young Italian sprinter conquers the second stage of the Tour of Antalya finalizing the great work done by the whole team that worked before to close on the breakaway and then to reduce the group to 50 riders to avoid a massive sprint.

Giovanni Lonardi reach the first seasonal victory of the Bardiani CSF Faizanè team. A success desired and sought by the whole team that worked and believed in the skills of the young Italian sprinter who repaid the efforts of his teammates by finalizing the work in the best way. For him, the first seasonal success, the third of his young career.

TEAM WORK, WIN WORK.

Giovanni Lonardi is in fact at the beginning of his second year among the professionals, where he is already demonstrate excellent sprinter skills, capable of keeping the rhythm of the best even in mixed stages. Strengthened by these characteristics, the team worked, together with other teams, at the head of the group first to close on the day's fugitives, resumed on the Yesilkoy GPM, which subsequently to thin out the group. The rain and a stage with some roughness thus reduced the group of the best to about fifty units with the sprinter adjusted by the sprinter in cyclamen jersey. Thanks to today's victory Giovanni Lonardi is also the new leader of the general classification.

"Today we wanted to reduce the group before the sprint to have a sprint with less rider than the first stage and we did it, my teammates worked very well bringing me to the best on the finish line, I really have to thank them it was an excellent team work. I've been looking for a lot of victory in these first weeks of the season now that it has arrived, I'm really happy for myself and for the whole team. Here the quality has grown compared to last year and only with great teamwork could we win. Tomorrow we will come uphill and I will help my teammates, then on Sunday in the last stage we will see, we could also try again in the sprint. “ 

THE TEAM RESULTS.

With the Tour of Antalya will end the first month of races of the team. In just one month of activity in 3 continents, with races in Colombia, Argetina, Spain, Italy, Turkey and Malesia the team reached 1 victory (with Lonardi), 3 podiums, with Pelucchi in Tour of Langkawi and Benfatto in Vuelta a San Juan and 12 top10 results.
