CHAMPIONSHIP SPEED!

JUNE 2022

Knoxville, TN | USA
Edmonton, AB | CANADA

In an impressive show of sharpened form and tactical awareness, the Human Powered Health squad delivered matching National crowns at the US and Canadian Road Cycling Championships this past weekend. Held on challenging courses in front of excited spectators, HPH's racers took advantage of fitness hardened over their recent European campaigns to score the double win.

FROM BRONZE TO GOLD

In 2021, veteran racer Kyle Murphy fought valiantly in support of his teammate and eventual Champion, Joey Rosskopf.  Absent Rosskopf, the 2022 Human Powered Health team effort turned to an excellent roster with a strategic plan that'd force a hard race only the fittest could follow.

As key team members made it into the final moments of the race, their strength in numbers and Euro-hardened fitness gave them the advantage at the pointy end of a very hard-charging championship event.  Active covering moves and able to lend his considerable horsepower to keep the pace high, Murphy ultimately unleashed a formidable attack in the final 3 kilometers / 2 miles, soloing to a well-earned victory in Knoxville aboard his Felt AR

Special call-out to HPH teammate, Ben King, who worked the break hard and still managed a 4th place result after helping his teammate to the win.

FAST. TRÈS FAST.

North of the border, Canadian hardman, Pier-André Coté drove the Championship-winning break with World Tour rider and 2021 winner, Guillaume Boivin (Israel - Premier Tech). The two thoroughbreds powered the move that blew apart the field on a damp and storm-threatened course in cycling-mad Alberta.  Coming to the finish, Coté accelerated to the line with a stellar effort, taking top honors in Edmonton!

Pier-André was also 3rd in individual time-trial race and has made steady progress within Human Powered Health to build his winning fitness and technical skill. Like Murphy, Coté took advantage of the Felt AR's aerodynamics and reputation as a breakaway machine!
