Another good result for Sonny Colbrelli at the German stage race. In Eisenach, the Italian rider closes 3rd behind the stage winner the Danish Kasper Asgreen and the Belgian Jasper Stuyven , the new race leader.

Sonny keeps the second place overall with a 13“ gap and tomorrow will be the final and decisive stage of the Deutschland Tour."Even today we took the race with a great job by Marcel Sieberg and Antonio Nibali. In the finale, we were only 14 riders and when Asgreen and Stuyven attacked I lost a few meters. Tomorrow we will try to overturn the race and I hope to have good legs! ".

"Together with Antonio - explains Sieberg - we pulled very hard to try to catch the 3 riders break and it wasn't easy because there was a lot of headwind. It was also a very hot day (31 °) and this is not so common here in Germany. Tomorrow the last effort awaits us and we will give everything to try to win ”.

Good signs also from Vincenzo Nibali who is back to competitions after the Tour de France. The Italian champion, in fact, has conquered the King of Mountains blue jersey: "I am happy above all because both yesterday and today I had good sensations and this means that in this month I have trained well".
