Motivated by just missing out in yesterday's opening stage, Development Team DSM executed their plan perfectly today, delivering Casper van Uden into a prime position for the bunch kick, where he stormed to stage success.
Aware of any crosswind danger, the team took control of the stage early on and were always present in the front groups during the echelon action. Once the day settled down, the team then fully focused on working together as a group to deliver Van Uden for the finale - and that they did. Swinging off one-by-one on the fast run in before the uphill drag to the line, the team positioned Van Uden perfectly who produced a powerful sprint to claim the victory, jubilantly raising his arms in celebration; getting Development Team DSM's tally underway for the season.
