BARDIANI CSF FAIZANÈ: SAMUELE ZOCCARATO È IL PRIMO CAMPIONE ITALIANO GRAVEL

L’atleta veneto della Bardiani CSF Faizanè vince dominando la prima storica edizione del campionato italiano gravel, con 100km di fuga solitaria. Alle sue spalle fa buona guardia nel gruppetto inseguitore Sacha Modolo, terzo sul traguardo di Argenta (FE).

Samuele Zoccarato è il primo campione italiano gravel, vincitore e dominatore di questa prima edizione con ben 100 km di azione in solitariache gli hanno permesso di essere il primo nella storia a conquistare il titolo di questa nuova specialità.

Erano in 5 gli atleti della Bardiani CSF Faizanè al via di questa prima storica edizione del campionato italiano gravel. 120 i km da percorrere, 100 quelli corsi all’attacco da Samuele Zoccarato. Alle sue spalle bravi anche i suoi compagni a inserirsi e controllare le azioni al suo inseguimento. Nel primo gruppetto inseguitore presente Sacha Modolo che chiude con la terza piazza di giornata.

Samuele Zoccarato conferma cos il suo feeling con i campionati italiani.Dopo il terzo posto del 2021 ai campionati nazionali su strada, arriva il titolo di campione italiano gravel 2022. Dopo la buona condizione dimostrata in settimana alla Coppa Sabatini (12°), l’atleta veneto sfodera una grande prestazione sullo sterrato.

Queste le parole di Samuele Zoccarato dopo l’arrivo: “Di fatto è stata la mia seconda gara Gravel, lo scorso anno nella gara organizzata da Pozzato avevo preso troppi rischi ed ero caduto, mi è servita da lezione sono stato più prudente sopratutto sui sassi. Sapevo di essere battuto e che potevano staccarmi se aspettavo i momenti più duri e più tecnici quindi ho provato ad anticipare attaccando. Non mi aspettavo di restare da solo così presto e di farmi 90 km in solitaria ma quando ho visto che guadagnavo terreno ho continuato nella mia azione. Alla fine avevo i crampi ma sono riuscito a resistere. Sicuramente l’esperienza di questo inverno nel ciclo-cross è stata molto importante anche se li mi manca ancora molta tecnica. Oggi sulla ghiaia le condizioni del terreno era perfette”

BARDIANI CSF FAIZANÈ: SAMUELE ZOCCARATO IS THE FIRST GRAVEL ITALIAN CHAMPION

The rider of Bardiani CSF Faizanè wins by dominating the first historic edition of the Italian gravel championship, with 100km of solitary breakaway. Behind him, Sacha Modolo keeps a good guard in the first chasing group, he is final third on the finish line in Argenta (FE).

Samuele Zoccarato is the first Gravel Italian Champion, winner and dominator of this first edition with 100 km of solo breakaway action that allowed him to be the first in history to win the title of this new specialty.

There were 5 riders from Bardiani CSF Faizanè at the start of this historic first edition of the Italian gravel championship. 120 km to go, 100 those rode by Samuele Zoccarato. Behind him, his teammates are also good at getting in and controlling the actions in pursuit of him. Sacha Modolo was present in the first group, closing with the third place of the day.

These are the words of Samuele Zoccarato after his arrival: "It was my second Gravel race, last year in the race organized by Pozzato I took too many risks and I crashed, it served as a lesson to me I was more cautious especially on stones. I knew I was beaten in the hardest and most technical sectors so I tried to anticipate by attacking. I didn't expect to be alone so far from the finish-line and to do 90km solo but when I saw that I was gaining ground I continued in my action. In the end I had cramps but I was able to resist. Certainly this winter's experience in cyclo-cross was very important even if I still lack a lot of technique. Today on the gravel the ground conditions were perfect "
