The Italian champion Filippo Zana wins the youth classification at the Tour du Limousin and finishes in 7th position in the general classification. In fact, the fourth and last stage of the French race ended today and Filippo Zana, who today finished 11th in the stage, confirms himself as the best young riders in the competition, winning the prestigious classification of the white jersey.
A result reached in the third stage, the most difficult one, which saw a small group of forwards emerge from the group about forty km from the finish line, detaching all their opponents. Among them was very good to fit Filippo Zana who, despite failing to win the stage, managed to place himself in seventh place in the general standings and 1st in the special young standings.
Fifth place also for Luca Covili in the white jersey ranking.
Filippo Zana: "Today we controlled the race well and in the end I sprinted because the placements were also important to finally conquer this important jersey. The condition is good and my goal is to try again in the next races to look for a victory with the Italian jersey."
