BARDIANI CSF FAIZANÈ: ALEX TOLIO È MIGLIOR GIOVANE AL TOUR OF SLOVENIA

Primo posto nella classifica giovani e maglia bianca per Alex Tolio al termine di una grandissima prova nella prima tappa del Tour of Slovenia, che lo ha visto prima protagonista all’attacco, poi nel primo gruppetto inseguitore, con i migliori sino al traguardo. 9° posto di tappa per Davide Gabburo.

Alex Tolio è il miglior giovane del Tour of Slovenia. L’atleta classe 2000, neo-professionista in forza alla Bardiani CSF Faizanè, conquista la vetta della prestigiosa classifica al termine di una grande prima tappa.

LA GARA

Inizia molto bene il Tour of Slovenia della Bardiani CSF Faizanè, protagonista in ogni fase di corsa. Subito presenti nella fuga di giornata con il più giovane degli atleti al via, il classe 2000 Alex Tolio. Il gruppo trainato dai team World Tour non lascia spazio, deciso a sparigliare la corsa sull’ascesa di giornata più impegnativa.

A 62 km dal traguardo il gruppo torna quindi compatto e non appena la strada inizia a salire parte la selezione e il successivo attacco di Tadej Pogacar, Rafal Majka e Domen Novak. Alle loro spalle alto ritmo, con un ristretto gruppetto inseguitore a restare in gioco, composto da una quindicina di uomini, tra i quali Davide Gabburo e ancora Alex Tolio, molto bravo a rimanere con i migliori sulla salita dopo essere stato riassorbito dalla fuga. 

Alle spalle dei top3 si giocano un piazzamento gli uomini del #GreenTeam. Per Davide Gabburo è top10 con il 9° posto di tappa, mentre Alex Tolio conquista il primo posto della classifica giovani riservata agli atleti Under23. 

LA DICHIARAZIONE.

Queste le parole di Alex Tolio: "Sono entrato nella fuga di giornata, ma abbiamo subito capito che oggi la corsa la voleva fare il gruppo così siamo quindi andati regolari per arrivare più avanti possibile, ma cercando di limitare gli sforzi. Il forcing del Bahrain ha chiuso velocemente, a circa una sessantina dall’arrivo avevano già chiuso. Dovevamo quindi affrontare la salita più impegnativa, mi sono accodato e ho stretto i denti sapendo che quella era la salita più difficile della giornata, ho pensato a passarla e poi vedere in quanti eravamo rimasti.Dall'ammiraglia il DS Amoriello mi ha informato che l'unico altro atleta in lizza per la maglia bianca era l'atleta della Ken Pharma, mi sono quindi concentrato prima sull'aiutare il mio compagno Davide Gabburo e poi sul battere allo sprint il mio avversario diretto. Questa maglia mi da veramente morale dopo un inizio di stagione complicato. Ora guardiamo alle prossime tappe, il mio primo obiettivo è aiutare i miei compagni che possono ambire a risultati importanti, se poi riuscirò anche a conservare questa maglia sarà un'ulteriore soddisfazione per me e per il team."

Continuano quindi le ottime prestazioni del #GreenTeam, che dopo gli ottimi piazzamenti del Giro D’Italia, la vittoria dell’Adriatica Ionica Race, è subito protagonista al Tour of Slovenia con il primato della classifica giovani. 

Questo giovedì la seconda tappa, con Alex Tolio che indosserà la maglia bianca. Diretta Eurosport dalle ore 14:30. Riprenderà anche l’attività dei giovani, con il Giro D’Italia Under23, che dopo il giorno di riposo affronterà la quinta tappa.

BARDIANI CSF FAIZANÈ: ALEX TOLIO IS THE BEST YOUNG RIDER OF THE TOUR OF SLOVENIA

First place in the youth rankings and white jersey for Alex Tolio at the end of a great race in the first stage of the Tour of Slovenia, which saw him at first protagonist in the attack, then in the first chasing group, remaining with the best until the finish. 9th place of the stage also for Davide Gabburo.

THE RACE.

Bardiani CSF Faizanè’s Tour of Slovenia starts very well with the team riders protagonist in every phase of the race. Immediately present in the breakaway of the day with the youngest of the team riders at the start, the 2000 class Alex Tolio. These are the words of Alex Tolio: "I entered the breakaway of the day, but we immediately understood that today the race wanted to be done by the group so we went regularly to get as far forward as possible, but trying to limit the efforts. The forcing of Bahrain closed quickly, about sixty from the finish-line they had already closed. So we had to face the most demanding climb, I queued up knowing that this was the hardest climb of the day, I thought about passing it and then seeing in DS Amoriello informed me from the teamcar that the only other rider in the front competing for the white jersey was the Ken Pharma athlete, so I concentrated first on helping my partner Davide Gabburo and then on beating my direct opponent in the sprint. This jersey really gives me morale after a complicated start to the season. Now let's look at the next stages, my first goal is to help my teammates who can aiming for important results, if I also manage to keep this jersey it will be a further satisfaction for me and for the team. "

The excellent performances of the #Greenteam therefore continue, which after the excellent placings of the Giro D’Italia, the victory of the Adriatica Ionica Race, is immediately the protagonist of the Tour of Slovenia with the primacy of the young classification.
