Pascal Ackermann continued the glorious weekend of victories for UAE Team Emirates with sprint win on stage 1.
The German sprinter timed his move perfectly on the 147.6 to best Jhonathan Narvaez (Ineos-Grenadiers) in the bunch gallop.
Ackermann: “I’m super happy,I’m 3km from home so all my friends are here at the finish and it’s extra special. I’m really happy with the shape and the team for believing in me after the long break since the Giro. We still have 4 days to go so we’re excited for the next days.”
