RACE PREVIEW: TRACK CYCLING WORLD CUP POLAND
This weekend, the BEAT track team will participate in the first track cycling World Cup of the season, in Pruszków, Poland. BEAT track team riders Theo Bos, Matthijs Büchli and Roy van den Berg will start three different disciplines during the three day event.
The Pruszków World Cup marks the kickoff of the World Cup season in track cycling. This is the first of five World Cups of this track cycling season, with the last one being held January 19-21, 2018, in Minsk, Belarus.
This weekend, the BEAT track team will participate in the keirin with Matthijs Büchli, the individual sprint with Roy van den Berg and in the team sprint with all three riders.
Coach of the track team and former pro track cyclist Tim Veldt knows what to expect this weekend: "We travel to Poland this week with courage and an open mind. This will be the sportive debut of the BEAT track team, where we can measure ourselves against the international federal and commercial teams. This is a huge step in our development and it gives us an idea of where we stand internationally. And who knows, maybe our riders will surprise us!"

RACE PREVIEW: WORLD CUP BAANWIELRENNEN POLEN
Dit aankomende weekend zal de BEAT baanploeg deelnemen aan de eerste World Cup van het seizoen in Pruszków, Polen. BEAT baanrenners Theo Bos, Matthijs Büchli en Roy van den Berg zullen tijdens het driedaagse evenement op drie verschillende disciplines starten.
De World Cup in Pruszków vormt de kickoff van het World Cup-seizoen baanwielrennen. Dit is de eerste van vijf World Cups dit baanseizoen, met de laatste plaatsvindend van 19 tot en met 21 januari 2018 in Minsk, Wit-Rusland.
De BEAT baanploeg zal dit weekend deelnemen aan de keirin met Matthijs Büchli, de individuele sprint met Roy van den Berg en aan de teamsprint, met alle drie de renners.
Coach van de baanploeg en ex-baanprof Tim Veldt weet wat hij kan verwachten, dit weekend: "Wij reizen deze week af richting Polen met veel goede moed en een open mind. Dit wordt het sportieve debuut van de BEAT-baanploeg, waar we ons tegen de internationale bonds- en commerciële ploegen kunnen meten. Dit is een enorme stap in onze ontwikkeling en het gaat ons een beeld geven waar wij staan, internationaal. En wie weet, zorgen onze mannen voor een verrassing!"
