VALENTINA CORVI E FABIO BASSIGNANA A SEGNO A FRONT (TO)

UN VIRUS ROVINA LA PROVA DI COPPA DI LENZERHEIDE 

11 luglio 2022 -  Ritorno alle gare per gli alfieri del Trinx Factory Team che, dopo il ritiro in altura a Livigno e la trasferta in Portogallo per gli Europei Junior e U23, sono tornati a difendere i colori del team dividendosi su due fronti. Gli junior Valentina Corvi e Fabio Bassignana, dopo l’argento continentale nel team relay, hanno partecipato a Front (Torino), al Xc del Castello, centrando due vittorie beneauguranti in vista della sfida tricolore di sabato 23 luglio. 

Gli altri biker erano attesi da un confronto internazionale nella prova di Coppa del Mondo a Lenzerheide (Svizzera). Ma solo alcuni di loro hanno potuto onorare l’impegno. Noemi Plankensteiner (nella foto di Maxime Schmid) reduce dall’Europeo, ha chiuso al 17° posto tra le Under 23, con Filippo Agostinacchio 42° e al miglior piazzamento stagionale in Coppa. Nella stessa categoria, Andrea Colombo ha chiuso 115°.

Weekend da dimenticare per gli Elite: Gioele Bertolini tornato febbricitante dal ritiro a Livigno ha dato forfait. Stessa sorte per Eva Lechner che, dopo il 29° posto nello short track, ha accusato sintomi influenzali e ha rinunciato al cross country. L’unica che ha gareggiato regolarmente è stata Giorgia Marchet, protagonista agli Europei con due medaglie: per lei 27° posto nello short track e 33° nel cross country.
«Con Giorgia un po’ affaticata e Gioele ed Eva febbricitanti, abbiamo deciso di saltare la trasferta di Coppa ad Andora», comunica il ds Luca Bramati. «La priorità è recuperare il meglio possibile per gli italiani del 23 luglio, per i quali abbiamo lavorato molto nel ritiro appena concluso».

TWO VICTORIES FOR CORVI AND BASSIGNANA IN FRONT (ITALY)

A VIRUS RUINS THE WORLD CUP ROUND IN LENZERHEIDE

July 11th, 2022 - Comeback to the races for the Trinx Factory Team’s athletes who, after the training camp in Livigno and the Junior and U23 European Championships in Anadia, on Sunday defended the team's colors in two fields. The juniors Valentina Corvi and Fabio Bassignana, after the continental silver medal in the relay team, won the Xc del Castello in Front (Turin): a good way for the run-in toward the Italian Championship, scheduled on Saturday 23 July.

The other bikers were expected to compete in the World Cup round in Lenzerheide (Switzerland); but only some of them were able to race. Noemi Plankensteiner (in Maxime Schmid’s photo), one week after the European Championship, finished in 17th place among the Under 23s, with Filippo Agostinacchio 42nd (his best result of the season in the World Cup). In the same category, Andrea Colombo finished 115th.

Weekend to forget for the Elite: Gioele Bertolini came back sick from the training camp in Livigno and he had to give up. Same fate for Eva Lechner: after the 29th place in the short track, she accused flu symptoms and she decided not to race the cross country. The only athlete who raced was Giorgia Marchet, one of the European championship star with two medals: Giorgia ended in 27th place in the short track and in 33rd in cross country.

«Giorgia seemed a little tired, moreover Gioele and Eva are sick, so we decided to skip the next World Cup event in Andora», said the sports director Luca Bramati. « The priority is to recover as best as possible for the Italian championship, scheduled on 23 July: those is the race for whom we worked a lot in the training camp».
