GIOELE BERTOLINI AD ALTI LIVELLI NELLA ‘SUA’ COMMEZZADURA IN VAL DI SOLE PRIMA TOP 20 IN COPPA PER LUCIA BRAMATI

03/07/2023 - Era un weekend che il direttore tecnico Luca Bramati aveva cerchiato in rosso da inizio stagione; non solo per l’importanza dell’evento, non solo perché collocato a una settimana dai campionati europei Juniores e Under 23 di Anadia, ma soprattutto perché di fronte ai 20.000 tifosi che si sarebbero recati in Val di Sole bisognava ben figurare: disponibilità nei confronti dei supporters, stile e, ovviamente, performance erano ciò che i quattro atleti del Trinx Factory Team avrebbero dovuto esprimere sui sentieri trentini.

E l’obiettivo è stato centrato con Lucia Bramati, Eva Lechner, Cristian Bernardi e Gioele Bertolini che sono tornati a casa dopo aver ricevuto per quattro giorni il pieno di affetto da parte dei loro tifosi (nelle fotografie di Maxime Schmid). In cambio gli atleti del team hanno regalato loro anche prestazioni interessanti.

Nello short track di giovedì, prima prova del lungo weekend italiano, l’under 23 Lucia Bramati ha centrato la sua prima top 20 in Coppa del Mondo chiudendo ventesima l’xcc, specialità in cui la ventenne di Sandrigo sta prendendo sempre maggior confidenza, anche grazie alla sua innata capacità di indovinare le partenze.

Meno fortunata per l’atleta la prova domenicale del cross country olimpico, durante la quale Lucia ha accusato piccoli problemi fisici che non le hanno permesso di esprimersi sui suoi livelli.

A chiudere il weekend ci ha pensato invece Gioele Bertolini che, su uno dei tracciati a lui più cari, è tornato a distanza di un anno tra i migliori 30 al mondo in Coppa del Mondo.

I buoni segnali denotati due settimane fa a Leogang, hanno trovato un altro riscontro in Val di Sole, dove il valtellinese, reduce da due settimane in altura a Livigno, è scattato dalla piazzola numero 50, recuperando posizioni giro dopo giro e sfiorando un piazzamento tra i primi 25 al mondo.

Importante esperienza fatta in vista degli Europei di categoria anche per Cristian Bernardi, tornato sul tracciato che lo aveva visto debuttare in Coppa del Mondo solo dieci mesi fa. Al trevigiano è mancato solo un giro per centrare la sua miglior prestazione dell’anno, pagando solo nel finale il ritmo degli avversari e dovendo dire addio al sogno di entrare a sua volta tra i migliori 30 under 23 del mondo. Per il ragazzo classe 2001, comunque, una importante lezione in vista del debutto con la maglia azzurra agli Europei.

Nonostante l’esperienza maturata in oltre 20 anni di carriera ai massimi livelli, è stato un ritorno da ricordare anche per Eva Lechner, tornata a calcare i palcoscenici della Coppa del Mondo nella specialità del Cross Country; lei che negli ultimi mesi sta ponendo le basi per diventare una specialista nelle lunghe distanze. Il ritorno nell’xco, agonisticamente parlando, ha presentato il conto, ma la bolzanina ricorderà a lungo quei passaggi nei boschi trentini dove, solo qualche anno fa, c’erano pochi appassionati e che ora si sono trasformati in una delle torcide più calde di tutto il circus della mountain bike.

GIOELE BERTOLINI AT HIGH LEVELS IN VAL DI SOLE. FIRST TOP 20 IN THE WORLD CUP FOR LUCIA BRAMATI

 3rd July 2023 - It was a weekend that the sport director Luca Bramati had circled on the agenda since the beginning of the season; not only because of the importance of the event, not only because it was scheduled a week before the European Junior and Under 23 championships in Anadia, but above all because in front of the 20,000 fans who would have gone to Val di Sole. In presence of such a great crowd it was necessary to do the best: availability towards supporters, style and, of course, performance were what the four Trinx Factory Team athletes should have expressed on the trentino track.

And the mission was achieved: Lucia Bramati, Eva Lechner, Cristian Bernardi and Gioele Bertolini returned home after receiving full affection from their fans for four days (in the photographs by Maxime Schmid). In exchange, the team's athletes also gave them interesting performances.

In Thursday's short track race, the first competition of the Italian weekend, the under 23 Lucia Bramati achieved her first top 20 in the World Cup, finishing twentieth in the xcc, a specialty in which the twenty-year-old from Sandrigo is gaining more and more confidence.

Less fortunate for the athlete was the Sunday race of the Olympic cross country, during which Lucia accused small physical problems that slowed down her performance.

Gioele Bertolini took care of closing the weekend instead: on one of the tracks dearest to him, the 28 years old was able to come back in the top 30 in a World Cup round after a year.

The good signals denoted two weeks ago in Leogang found another response in Val di Sole, where the biker from Talamona started from pitch number 50, recovering positions lap after lap and nearly a placement between the top 25 in the world.

Important experience on the road to the
European Championships also for Cristian Bernardi, back on the track that had seen him make his debut in the World Cup only ten months ago. The biker went very close to his best performance of his career, paying the price of the pace of his opponents only in the final lap. So Cristian had to say goodbye to his first top 30 among the under 23s, but the race in Val di Sole was for him an important lesson in view of the debut with the national jersey at the European Championships.

Despite the experience gained in over 20 years of career at the highest levels, it was a return to remember also for Eva Lechner, who came back to the stages of the World Cup in the Cross Country specialty; Eva recently has been entraining to become a specialist in long distances and the return to the xco races, competitively speaking, presented the bill; but the Trinx Factory Team biker will remember for a long time those passages in the Trentino woods where, just a few years ago, there were few enthusiasts and which have now turned into one of the hottest torcidas in the whole mountain bike circus.
