This years QUEEN STAGE will be a little shorter and less climbing that the 2019 version, but this stage will certainly test even the best. It takes on some of the trails used in the final km of Stage 3 but in reverse and brings a whole lot of new challenges and tricky tough little climbs.
Once you have crested Mt Baldy, you again enter the Atherton MTB Park and traverse over some more fantastic purpose built XC single track created by the team of the Tablelands Cycle Sports Club. With a grin on your face you then head back out into the Baldy Mountain Forest Reserve winding through the dense national park through Walsh River tracks and over the Highway to the Herberton National Park.
Some tough pinch climbs await and will take you through Herberton National Parkand up a 5 km climb to Drovers Lookout. With no time to take in the view you will commence the short decent and more rolling windy national park trails before popping out on to a bitumen road and a few kilometres to the finish.
This is a true QUEEN STAGE with a bit of everything.
