3 May, 2019 – Holstebro, Denmark: Following last weekend’s winning start to the new MTB DH World Cup season in Maribor, Slovenia, CeramicSpeed and FMD Racing’s Team Manager, Tony Seagrave, are delighted to announce their exciting new partnership for the 2019 season.

Commencing with an upgrade package including the latest SLT Pivot Bearings, Coated Bottom Bracket and Wheel Bearings, Tahnée will also be able to call on the expertise of the CeramicSpeed team back in Denmark, and will be providing feedback to the design and development team as the season progresses. The benefits of using CeramicSpeed bearings are two-fold, enabling riders to enjoy longer lasting products that also provide measurable gains in efficiency and rolling resistance.

This is CeramicSpeed’s first partnership with FMD (Follow My Dream) Racing, founded by Tahnée, her brother Kaos, and parents Jo and Tony in 2009, and both are excited by the potential opportunities it is set to bring.

While the brand has a higher profile in road and triathlon, CeramicSpeed has also long been involved in multiple mountain bike racing disciplines, having supported numerous World Cup winners and World Champions over the past few years.

CeramicSpeed’s Chief Marketing Officer, Ben Powell said: “It’s a pleasure to add Tahnée Seagrave and the FMD Racing team to our roster of globally supported riders and teams. We couldn’t have asked for a better start to the partnership, with Tahnée winning this past weekend in Maribor.

“The passion and enthusiasm from the team is truly infectious. We’ll be working closely with head mechanic Jake  Scoynesto make sure Tahnée, Kaos and teammate Jamie Edmondson have every advantage throughout the 2019 season.”

Tony Seagrave, FMD Racing Team Manager said: “With a few small changes at FMD going into 2019, we are stoked to have partnered with CeramicSpeed. The team is in constant search of time gains both on and off-track and with these world-class bearings fitted throughout the bike, it saves not only our riders’ time, it also saves our mechanics’ time too!”

These sentiments are echoed by Jake Scoynes, head mechanic at FMD Racing and Tahnée’s main man on the tools, who said: “I’m incredibly excited to be working alongside CeramicSpeed. Their products are of the highest quality and innovation, and in a sport where efficiency is everything, I knew that working with them would be a game-changer for us as demonstrated by Tahnée’s season-opening win.”
