Treviglio (Ita), 2015, June 12th - Bianchi i.idro DRAIN's Tony Longo placed fifth in Alpentour Trophy's stage-2, 56 km with start and finish in Schladming, on Friday, June 12th. The Italian, riding Methanol 27 SL, got to the finishing line with a 6-second gap from the winner Roel Paulissen, preceding his teammate Leonardo Paez (+31”).
Equipped with Methanol 29.1 SL, the Bianchi i.idro DRAIN Colombian kept the leader's jersey ahead of Longo himself. The Alpentour Trophy will last until Sunday, June 14th: tomorrow the riders will face the longest stage (69 km), before ending their effort in a 14 km ITT on Sunday.
KERSCHBAUMER READY FOR EUROPEAN GAMES
A new goal is calling Gerhard Kerschbaumer: the former U23 World Champion will wear the Italian National Team's azzurra jersey in the European Games' Men XCO race in Baku (Azerbaijan) on Saturday, June 13th at 12.30 local time (UTC+4).
TEOCCHI AND THE JUNIOR TEAM IN ITALY
Under 23 Chiara Teocchi and junior Giorgio Rossi will enter XC Piemonte's tenth round in Calosso (North-Eastern italy), whilst youngster Marco Gozzi will be in action at XC Youth Italian Cup's in Brentonico (Northern Italy).
