A LA THUILE, PRIMA PERLA IN JUNIOR SERIES PER VALENTINA CORVI

04/06/2023 - L’aveva sfiorata in tre occasioni in questo biennio tra le junior: seconda a Marsiglia e a Rivera nel 2022, seconda di nuovo in Svizzera quest’anno. E sabato a La Thuile Valentina Corvi ha finalmente messo in bacheca la sua prima prova di UCI Junior Series.

In quella che era la quarta e penultima prova del circuito Internazionali d’Italia Series, la valtellinese (nella foto di Alessio Pederiva) ha
preso la testa sin dal primo giro, precedendo di mezzo minuto la tedesca Carla Hahn e la giovane
bergamasca Elisa Lanfranchi. Un successo che fa il paio con quello di una settimana fa a Courmayeur. Il mese di stop resosi necessario dopo la gara di Capoliveri sembra ormai alle spalle.

Oltre a Valentina, nelle premiazioni della gara di La Thuile hanno trovato posto Giorgia Marchet, nona assoluta e quinta tra le donne elite, e l’under 23 Cristian Bernardi, che ha tagliato il traguardo della prova open in 13° piazza, quinto della sua categoria. Nella stessa prova di Bernardi, Gioele Bertolini ha artigliato la top 10, chiudendo sesto tra gli elite (nella foto Pederiva).

In gara nella prova degli U19, hanno migliorato il loro precedente prestazione nella UCI Junior Series sia Daniele Corvi (44° al traguardo) che Marco Bramati (48°).

A una prova dal termine, nella classifica generale di Internazionali d’Italia Series Gioele Bertolini e Cristian Bernardi sono rispettivamente ottavo e tredicesimo nella categoria open; sesto posto per Giorgia Marchet tra le donne open, mentre Valentina Corvi è quarta, pur avendo partecipato solo a due delle quattro prove fin qui disputate.

Seconda esperienza nella UCI Mountainbike Marathon Series per Eva Lechner

In Liguria, invece, Eva Lechner ha messo nelle gambe la sua seconda UCI Mountainbike Marathon Series: dopo il 17° posto conquistato al debutto a Nove Mesto (in Repubblica Ceca), la bolzanina (nella foto di Alessio Pederiva) ha chiuso la gara di Finale Ligure in 14° posizione, prendendo ulteriore confidenza con una specialità totalmente diversa rispetto al cross country. La prova savonese, infatti, misurava 100 km e ha tenuto in sella le partecipanti per più di quattro ore.

FIRST JOY IN THE UCI JUNIOR SERIES FOR VALENTINA CORVI

4th June 2023 - She went many time so close to the success in this two-year period among the juniors: second in Marseille and Rivera in 2022, second again in Switzerland this year. And on Saturday in La Thuile Valentina Corvi finally won her first round of the UCI Junior Series.

In the fourth and penultimate race of Internazionali d’Italia Series, the italian biker (in Alessio Pederiva’s picture) took the lead from the first lap, ahead of the German Carla Hahn and the young Elisa Lanfranchi. A success that pairs with the one in Courmayeur in the last weekend.
The month's stop made necessary after the Capoliveri Legend race now seems to be behind her.

In addition to Valentina, in the awards ceremony in La Thuile found places Giorgia Marchet, ninth overall and fifth among the elite women, and the under 23 Cristian Bernardi, who crossed the finish line of the open test in 13th place, fifth of her category. In the same race as Bernardi, Gioele Bertolini clawed into the top 10, finishing sixth among the elites (in Alessio Pederiva’s photos).

Competing in the U19 race, both Daniele Corvi (44th at the finish line) and Marco Bramati (48th) improved on their previous performance in the UCI Junior Series.

With one race to go, in the general standings of the Internazionali d'Italia Series Gioele Bertolini and Cristian Bernardi are respectively eighth and thirteenth in the open category; sixth place for Giorgia Marchet among the women open, while Valentina Corvi is fourth, despite having participated in only two of the four rounds disputed so far.

Second experience in the UCI Mountain Bike Marathon Series for Eva Lechner

In Liguria Eva Lechner put her second UCI Mountainbike Marathon Series on her legs: after the 17th place conquered on her debut in Nove Mesto (in the Czech Republic), the athlete from Bolzano (in the photo by Alessio Pederiva) closed the race in Finale Ligure in 14th position, gaining further confidence with a totally different specialty compared to the Olympics Cross Country. The race in Savona, in fact, measured 100 km and kept the participants in the saddle for more than four hours.
