Eroica Britannia domenica a Bakewell, bici vintage e festival in perfetto stile British

E’ in programma domenica 19 giugno a Bakewell, cuore nel Peak District in Gran Bretagna, la terza edizione di Eroica Britannia, l’evento di ciclismo vintage che fin dal 2014 ha catturato l’amore di migliaia di ciclisti provenienti da tutto il Paese e da tutto il mondo. Quest’anno saranno 4500 i partecipanti, numero massimo raggiunto già da parecchi mesi fa. Oltre all’evento in bicicletta, ovviamente d’epoca, Eroica Britannia si caratterizza per il festival che quest’anno vedrà la partecipazione di cinquantamila spettatori, tanti sono stati infatti i biglietti venduti per i tre giorni di festival che da oggi a domenica animeranno Bakewell; “The Great British Adventure”, come lo hanno battezzato gli organizzatori inglesi.

Eroica Britannia è un po’ la Woodstock del ciclismo britannico. I partecipanti a Bakewell vivono infatti l’atmosfera della storia millenaria della Gran Bretagna. “Britannia” è un’isola regale e qui Eroica diventa gioia ed eleganza, classe e unicità. E persino le mucche e le pecore finiscono per essere parte dello scenario di questo paesaggio nobile.
Da oggi dunque il festival, con tante attrazioni di ogni tipo. Poi, domenica mattina, spazio alle biciclette con tre diversi percorsi da 30, 55 e 100 miglia, attraverso la magnifica regione del Derbyshire.

Eroica Britannia: Sunday in Bakewell, vintage bikes and a summer festival in perfect British style
 
On Sunday, 19 June Eroica Britannia will be held in Bakewell, in the heart of the Peak District in Great Britain. This will be the third edition of the vintage cycling event that has captured the imagination of thousands of cyclists from all over the country and the world since it started in 2014. This year 4,500 cyclists will take part in the event and that number was already reached months ago. Another number – 50,000 – refers to the tickets sold for the three-day festival that will animate Bakewell from today until Sunday, making the Peak District the destination of thousands of families who will have great fun at Eroica Britannia - “the Great British Adventure”, as it was baptised by the English organisers. Eroica Britannia is also a sort of Woodstock of British cycling. Participants in Bakewell will witness the millennial history of this land. “Britannia” is a regal island and here Eroica becomes elegance and joy, class and uniqueness. Even sheep and cows become part of the setting of this noble landscape. 
So the festival starts today with every type of attraction. Then, on Sunday morning, make way for the vintage bicycles that will cover three different routes of 30, 55 e 100 miles, through the magnificent Derbyshire countryside.
