Bigla ready to take on the Giro RosaOn Friday, Bigla will take to the start of the 30th edition of the Giro Rosa. The race commences with a 18 km long team time trial, followed by some hilly stages, and a stage for the sprinters, before heading into the mountains. Stage 5, the first mountainous stage, is the 100 km long queen stage, with the riders taking on the famed Gavia. The following day will see a 12 km long individual race against the clock, which features a tough uphill route that will provide for further gaps in the general classification. The following stages are hilly, however, the penultimate stage features the finishing climb of the Malga Montasio, with an average gradient of over 8 per cent, which ramps up to 20 percent in some sections. The tenth and final 120 km long stage concludes with a cobbled climb to the Udine castle.
