ANNEMIEK VAN VLEUTEN VINCE IL 30° GIRO ROSA ICCREA

Per il secondo anno consecutivo è la fuoriclasse olandese della Mitchelton - Scott la vincitrice del Giro d'Italia Internazionale Femminile - Giro Rosa Iccrea.

Una cavalcata vincente per Annemiek Van Vleuten iniziata in Valtellina nella tappa conclusasi ai Laghi di Cancano/Valdidentro e proseguita il giorno successivo nella cronoscalata Chiuro-Teglio, sempre in Provincia di Sondrio. Nella tappa vicentina la 36enne olandese si è gestita al meglio e ha fatto lo stesso il giorno dopo nella Vittorio Veneto - Maniago, per poi dare il colpo di grazia sulla salita del Montasio, seppur superata da una scatenata Anna Van der Breggen all'arrivo.

L'arrivo di Udine, in cima allo strappo in pavè del castello, è stato per lei la passerella conclusiva, mentre è arrivato il quarto successo di tappa per Marianne Vos (25° in carriera al Giro), battendo Lucinda Brand (Team Sunweb) e la belga Lotte Kopecky (Lotto Soudal Ladies).

Oltre alla Maglia Rosa "Gruppo Cooperativo Bancario Iccrea", Annemiek Van Vleuten conquista anche la Maglia Ciclamino della Classifica a Punti "Selle SMP" e la Maglia Verde dei GPM "Effebiquattro".

La miglior giovane del Giro Rosa Iccrea (Maglia Bianca "KRU") è la francese Juliette Labous (Team Sunweb), mentre Elisa Longo Borghini si aggiudica la classifica delle atlete italiane (Maglia Blu "GSG").

Le dichiarazioni della vincitrice di tappa Marianne Vos: "Alla partenza mi hanno detto che le mie vittorie al Giro erano 25, così ho dovuto mantenere la promessa e confermare il pronostico. Era comunque un arrivo molto adatto alle mie caratteristiche e la squadra mi ha aiutato molto, ringrazio le compagne di squadra e lo staff."

La vincitrice del Giro Rosa Annemiek Van Vleuten ha dichiarato: "Sono super felice e sicuramente festeggerò insieme alla squadra. Mi sto preparando sempre al meglio e anche la squadra sta migliorando tutta la preparazione, il Giro Rosa è un obiettivo su cui ci siamo concentrati molto ed è stato importante averlo fatto insieme: nelle gare di un giorno puoi vincere anche da sola, ma in quelle a tappe hai bisogno di tutti, dalla squadra allo staff. I miei ritiri in altura li svolgo a Livigno da diverso tempo, e conosco bene le strade nella zona. Amo l'atmosfera che si respira in Italia. E poi in questi giorni c'è anche mia mamma che è venuta qui per la prima volta, festeggeremo la vittoria insieme a lei".

ANNEMIEK VAN VLEUTEN WINS THE 30TH GIRO ROSA ICCREA

For the second year in a row, the Dutch champion of the Team Mitchelton - Scott is the winner of the Giro d'Italia Internazionale Femminile - Giro Rosa Iccrea. A winning ride for Annemiek Van Vleuten which started in Valtellina at Valdidentro/Laghi di Cancano and it continued in the Uphill Time Trial, in Province of Sondrio. In San Giorgio di Perlena she could defend the Jersey and she did the same on the following day in Maniago. The overall win was decided yesterday on the climb of Montasio, even if an incredible Anna Van der Breggen has been the stage winner. The celebration camed in Udine today at the end of the final stage, won by Marianne Vos (the 4th in this edition, the 25th in her career at the Giro), beating Lucinda Brand (Team Sunweb) and the Belgian Lotte Kopecky (Lotto Soudal Ladies).

Annemiek Van Vleuten won the Maglia Rosa "Gruppo Cooperativo Bancario Iccrea", the Cyclamine Jersey "Selle SMP" and the Green Jersey "Effebiquattro". The best young rider of the Giro Rosa Iccrea (White Jersey "KRU") is Juliette Labous (Team Sunweb) and Elisa Longo Borghini is the winner of the Blue Jersey "GSG" as best Italian.

I usually do altitude training camps in Livigno since some years and I know the roads in the area very well. I love the Italian atmosphere and my mum has come here for the first time, we will celebrate for sure with her.

BUONGIORNO DA SAN VITO AL TAGLIAMENTO
 

Il Giro Rosa Iccrea 2019 incorona oggi la vincitrice finale: dopo aver ipotecato il successo assoluto, Annemiek Van Vleuten è pronta a festeggiare la sua seconda vittoria consecutiva in classifica generale. E, come un anno fa a Cividale, la festa finale è ancora una volta in Friuli, al Castello di Udine dove si concluderà l'ultima tappa, il cui via è a San Vito al Tagliamento (Pordenone). 

La tappa ha un percorso relativamente pianeggiante per quasi la sua totalità. A Mereto di Tomba (paese della tre volte campionessa d'Italia Elena Cecchini) è fissato un traguardo volante dopo 65 km. Le difficoltà altimetriche arrivano dopo circa 100 km, salendo verso il GPM di Moruzzo: una volta arrivati a Udine si giunge ai piedi del Castello per affrontare lo strappo in pavè di circa 400 metri fino al traguardo dove verrà incoronata la regina del 30° Giro Rosa Iccrea.

GOOD MORNING FROM SAN VITO AL TAGLIAMENTO

The Giro Rosa Iccrea 2019 will crown today her final winner: Annemiek Van Vleuten is ready to celebrate her second win overall in a row and, as it was last year in Cividale, the final party is again in Friuli, at the Castle of Udine, stage finish of the 10th stage which starts in San Vito al Tagliamento (Pordenone).

The stage is almost flat, except in the final part: after 65 there is the intermediate sprint in Mereto di Tomba (hometown of the three times Italian Champion Elena Cecchini). The altimetrical troubles start after 100 kms, climbing to Moruzzo: once the race is in Udine, there is the final, cobbled climb to the castle of about 400 meters until the finish line where the Queen of the 30th Giro Rosa Iccrea will be crowned.
