ANNA VAN DER BREGGEN HA VINTO IL GIRO ROSA 2020, A EVITA MUZIC L'ULTIMA TAPPA

Ora è ufficiale: Anna Van Der Breggen ha vinto il Giro Rosa 2020. Oggi si temevano attacchi che avrebbero potuto scompigliare la classifica generale, soprattutto in una frazione, come quella odierna, ricca di insidie. Gli attacchi ci sono stati, anche molti, ma le atlete interessate alla classifica generale hanno lasciato fare giungendo tutte assieme sul traguardo, permettendo lo svolgimento di una frazione altamente spettacolare. A vincere a Motta Montecorvino è stata Evita Muzic, precedendo Niamh Fisher-Black e Juliette Labous. Per Anna Van Der Breggen questo è il terzo successo nella classifica generale del Giro Rosa, dopo i successi ottenuti nel 2015 e nel 2017. La campionessa olandese sale sul podio finale insieme a Katarzyna Niewiadoma e Elisa Longo Borghini. 

I 109.5 chilometri previsti dall'ultima frazione sono stati percorsi a tutta sin dal primo chilometro con attacchi ripetuti e costanti. Del resto, come preannunciato, il percorso favoriva una evoluzione tattica di questo tipo. Tra le atlete che hanno provato la fuga segnaliamo Ilaria Sanguineti, Laura Tomasi, Arlenis Sierra, Katia Ragusa, Maria Novolodskaya, Evita Muzic, Elena Franchi, Erica Magnaldi, Sabrina Stultiens, Alison Jackson, Sierra Canadilla, Eric Jelena e Niamh Fisher-Black.Queste atlete, insieme a molte altre, hanno guadagnato rapidamente un margine notevole di vantaggio, oltre 5'00'' in certi tratti di gara. L'andatura particolarmente sostenuta imposta dalle fuggitive ha più volte frazionato il gruppo delle attaccanti. I quattro giri sul circuito di Motta Montecorvino hanno appassionato il folto pubblico accorso in piazza ad assistere alla corsa per la situazione in continua evoluzione. 

Situazione incerta fino agli ultimi chilometri, dove Sierra, Stultiens e Borghesi sembravano potersi giocare la vittoria in una volata ristretta. Poi è stato il turno di Erica Magnaldi. Niente da fare: il rientro delle inseguitrici ha visto Evita Muzic prevalere su Niham Fisher-Black e Juliette Labous. Ora è il momento dei festeggiamenti e del relax: il Giro Rosa 2020 va in archivio con la vittoria di Anna Van Der Breggen, un podio di valore internazionali, una gara appassionante sino all'ultimo metro e tanto calore da parte del pubblico che è stato sulle strade ad applaudire le atlete rispettando sino all'ultimo le misure di sicurezza imposte dalla pandemia da Covid-19. Lo sport ed il ciclismo vincono ancora.

ANNA VAN DER BREGGEN WON THE 2020 GIRO ROSA, THE LAST STAGE IS FOR EVITA MUZIC

Now it's official: Anna Van Der Breggen has won the Giro Rosa 2020. Today there were fears that could have disrupted the general classification, especially in a fraction, like today's one, full of pitfalls. There were attacks, even many, but the athletes interested in the general classification let it go by reaching the finish line together, allowing the performance of a highly spectacular stage. The winner at Motta Montecorvino was Evita Muzic, ahead of Niamh Fisher-Black and Juliette Labous. For Anna Van Der Breggen this is the third success in the general classification of the Giro Rosa, after the successes obtained in 2015 and 2017. The Dutch champion climbs on the final podium together with Katarzyna Niewiadoma and Elisa Longo Borghini.

The 109.5 kilometers foreseen by the last fraction were covered at full speed from the first kilometer with repeated and constant attacks. Moreover, as announced, the path favored a tactical evolution of this type. Among the athletes who have tried the escape we point out Ilaria Sanguineti, Laura Tomasi, Arlenis Sierra, Katia Ragusa, Maria Novolodskaya, Evita Muzic, Elena Franchi, Erica Magnaldi, Sabrina Stultiens, Alison Jackson, Sierra Canadilla, Eric Jelena and Niamh Fisher-Black. These athletes, along with many others, quickly gained a considerable advantage, over 5'00 '' in certain sections of the race. The particularly fast pace imposed by the fugitives has several times divided the group of attackers. The four laps on the Motta Montecorvino circuit thrilled the large audience that rushed to the square to watch the race for the constantly evolving situation.

Uncertain situation until the last kilometers, where Sierra, Stultiens and Borghesi seemed to be able to play the victory in a narrow sprint. Then it was Erica Magnaldi's turn. Nothing to do: the return of the pursuers saw Evita Muzic prevail over Niham Fisher-Black and Juliette Labous. Now is the time for celebrations and relaxation: the Giro Rosa 2020 goes to the archive with the victory of Anna Van Der Breggen, a podium of international value, an exciting race up to the last meter and a lot of warmth from the public that was on the streets to applaud the athletes while respecting the security measures imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic to the last. Sport and cycling still win.
