JAN TRATNIK OUT OF THE GIRO D’ITALIA
 
Unfortunately, Jan Tratnik is forced to abandon the Giro d’Italia on stage 3 (Kaposvár > Balatonfüred) due to the consequences of the crash he was involved in the last km of the opening stage.
 
The Slovenian ITT Champion suffered bruises and felt pain in his right wrist and hand. Nevertheless, he tried to ride yesterday’s time trial in Budapest and to be at the start this morning on the third stage in Hungary.
 
Due to the high pain and difficulties keeping the handlebar as he was wearing a brace, Tratnik decided to abandon the Giro.
He will undergo further examinations in the next few hours.
