GREEN PROJECT BARDIANI-CSF FAIZANÈ: GIRO D'ITALIA, 19° TAPPA, DAVIDE GABBURO NELLA FUGA DI GIORNATA

130 km di fuga per Gabburo nella tappa regina del Giro d'Italia. Ripreso a 2km dall'arrivo dal gruppo maglia rosa.

Protagonista Davide Gabburo in questa 19° frazione della corsa rosa, caparbio nel ricongiungersi col gruppo dei fuggitivi al km 49. Sempre attivo il corridore veneto, secondo nello sprint per il GPM di Valparola, preceduto dal canadese Derek Gee. Gabburo viene ripreso dal gruppo maglia rosa sulla salita finale delle Tre Cime di Lavaredo, a 2 km dall'arrivo. Chiude la tappa in 26° posizione. 

Le parole di Gabburo: "Ho cercato questa fuga con testa e gambe, con le ultime energie rimaste nel serbatoio in questa terza settimana. Sono riuscito ad entrare nella fuga di giornata, è stata dura perché è partita dopo 40 km, con diversi corridori di spessore nel drappello. A partire dalla terzultima salita, il gruppo della maglia rosa ha iniziato a recuperare lo svantaggio. Siamo rimasti in dieci. Ho affrontato l'ultima salita, ma è stata durissima. Il gruppo maglia rosa mi ha ripreso a 2 km dalla fine. Sono comunque contento di questa terza settimana e spero di arrivare a Roma."

GREEN PROJECT BARDIANI-CSF FAIZANÈ: GIRO D'ITALIA, STAGE 19, DAVIDE GABBURO IN THE BREAKAWAY

130km breakaway for Gabburo in Giro d'Italia's queen stage. Caught with 2km to go by the maglia rosa group.

19th stage that sees the rider from Verona as one of the absolute protagonists of the breakaway, stubbornly rejoining the breakaway group at km 49. The rider from Veneto remains consistently active and finishes second in the sprint for the GPM of Valparola, preceded by the Canadian Derek Gee. Gabburo is caught on the final climb of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, with 2 km to go, and he finishes the stage in 26th position.

Gabburo's words: "I pursued this breakaway with determination and strength, using the last remaining energy in my tank during this third week. I managed to enter the day's breakaway, which was challenging as it started after 40 km and included several strong riders in the peloton. As we approached the third-to-last climb, the pink jersey group began to close the gap. Ten of us remained in the breakaway. I faced the last climb, which proved to be extremely difficult. The pink jersey group caught up with me with 2 km remaining. Nevertheless, I am happy with this third week of the Giro."
