#GIRO101: MARECZKO CI RIPROVA E VA VICINO AL PODIO
Ancora una volata di qualità di Jakub Mareczko che conferma di essere uno dei migliori velocisti del Giro d'Italia conquistando il quarto posto nella 3^ tappa della Corsa Rosa.
Anche oggi non c'è stato spazio per le fughe con i coraggiosi di giornata, Barbin, Boivin e Frapporti, ripresi a 8 km dall'arrivo.
Il gruppo si allungava a causa del forte vento, dopo essere transitato per oltre 200 km in una zona prevalentemente desertica, ed era molto difficile per le squadre dei velocisti costruire un treno nei tortuosi 10 km finali.
Dall'ultima curva a 300 metri spuntava in testa Sam Bennett il quale veniva scavalcato poco prima dell'arrivo da Elia Viviani con Jakub Mareczko che era obbligato a recuperare diverse posizioni non riuscendo ad esprimere tutta la sua potenza nel rettilineo finale.
Grazie ai punti conquistati oggi #Kuba è adesso terzo nella classifica della maglia a ciclamino alla vigilia del primo giorno di riposo della Corsa Rosa che porterà domattina i corridori da Eilat a Catania laddove ripartiremo martedì
#GIRO101: MARECZKO TRIES AGAIN AND ENDS CLOSE TO THE PODIUM
Another quality sprint for Jakub Mareczko that confirms to be one of the better sprinters of the Giro d'Italia claiming a fourth place in the 3rd stage of the Corsa Rosa.
No space for the breakaways with Barbin, Boivin and Frapporti, the three escapees, who were caught with 8 kms to go.
The bunch was splitting due to the strong wind, after spending more than 200 kms in a desertic zone, and so it was very difficult for the teams of the sprinters to build a solid lead out in the tricky final 10 kms.
After the last turn, with 300 metres to go, Sam Bennett was well placed in the head of the peloton but he was overtaken just before the finish line by Elia Viviani with Jakub Mareczko that was forced to catch up with the front positions and so he couldn't express all his power in the final straightaway.
Thanks to the points achieved today #Kuba is now third in the ciclamino jersey classification before the first rest day of the Corsa Rosa with the riders that are gonna fly tomorrow morning from Eliat to Catania where the race will restart on tuesday
