GIRO D’ITALIA: FILIPPO FIORELLI TERZO SULL’ARRIVO DI SESTOLA.
Un grande Filippo Fiorelli regala splendide emozioni nella tappa di casa della Bardiani CSF Faizanè. Presente nella fuga di 25 corridori partita di forza dopo un’ora di gara, resiste molto bene sui 3 GPM di giornata e conquista il suo primo “podio” di tappa alla Corsa Rosa.
Terzo posto di Filippo Fiorelli sull’arrivo di Sestola nella quarta tappa del Giro d’Italia. L’atleta siciliano entrato nella numerosa fuga di giornata composta inizialmente da 25 corridori e partita di forza dopo oltre un’ora di corsa percorsa a più di 50 km/h, è uno dei 10 fuggitivi a resistere al ritorno del gruppo conquistando il suo primo “podio” di tappa in un grande Giro.
187 km caratterizzati dalla pioggia battente e da grande tensione agonistica, in vista del triplo GPM di giornata e dalla salita finale di Sestola dove era attesa la prima prova di forza dei big della generale. Fuga che fatica a prendere il largo, ma obiettivo assoluto del team Bardiani CSF Faizanè in vista del passaggio sulle strade di casa del reggiano e dell’arrivo di Sestola che già nel 2016 regalò grandi emozioni al #GreenTeam. 25 gli atleti che compongono l’azione di giornata, ben 3 della Bardiani CSF Faizanè: Samuele Zoccarato, Filippo Zana e ovviamente Filippo Fiorelli.
L’’atleta siciliano è bravo a non perdere mai il contatto visivo dagli atleti che lo hanno preceduto in svariati scatti riuscendo con il suo ritmo, forza e determinazione a combattere per la vittoria di tappa fino al gran finale che gli consegna il terzo posto della frazione odierna.
LE DICHIARAZIONI DEI PROTAGONISTI.
Filippo Fiorelli: “Un terzo posto al Giro d’Italia è una grande emozione. In tanti si sono stupiti di questa mia tappa, ma io non sono mai stato un velocista, semmai un atleta veloce adatto a tappe mosse come questa. Sono professionista da poco più di un anno quindi anche io devo ancora capire fino in fondo che tipo di corridore sono e credo che questa tappa mi abbia fatto capire come il lavoro che sto facendo con la mia squadra stia andando proprio nella direzione giusta. Voglio ringraziare la Bardiani CSF Faizanè per la fiducia e le opportunità di crescere che mi sta dando, così come i miei compagni che mi sostengono e consigliano sempre per il meglio. In particolare essere in camera con Giovanni Visconti in un Giro d’Italia mi sta aiutando tantissimo.”
Roberto Reverberi team manger della Bardiani CSF Faizanè, trae un primo bilancio dopo un buon avvio di Giro d’Italia: “Oggi ci tenevamo particolarmente a fare bene. Il primo obiettivo era essere presenti in fuga, in una tappa in cui l’azione poteva arrivare, ma sopratutto in cui oltre alle nostre strade di casa del reggiano siamo transitati su quelle di Parma dei nostri sponsor. Fino ad ora siamo soddisfatti del nostro avvio di Giro d’Italia, oltre a questo terzo posto siamo stati presenti in tutte le fughe, ma sopratutto in tutti i finali di tappa con un terzo e settimo di Fiorelli e un sedicesimo di Battaglin ieri, per giocarci le nostre chance di vittoria ad ogni occasione.”

GIRO D’ITALIA: WONDERFUL THIRD PLACE OF FILIPPO FIORELLI IN SESTOLA.
