BARDIANI CSF FAIZANÈ: UMBERTO MARENGO È IL NUOVO LEADER DEI TRAGUARDI VOLANTI DEL GIRO D’ITALIA.

Con i due traguardi volanti odierni, Umberto Marengo è il nuovo leader della speciale classifica che sarà premiata sul podio finale di Milano. Con quella di oggi salgono a cinque le tappe corse all’attacco dall’atleta torinese. Quindicesimo di tappa Filippo Fiorelli.

Tredicesima tappa corsa all’attacco dalla Bardiani CSF Faizanè, con Umberto Marengo che colleziona altri 191 km di fuga nella sua quinta azione personale in questo Giro d’Italia. Durante l’azione d’attacco Umberto Marengo conquista preziosi punti nelle volate dei traguardi volanti sopravanzando così Pellaud e guidando ora la speciale classifica che verrà premiata sul palco finale di Milano. 

Queste le parole di Umberto Marengo sul traguardo: “Altra giornata all’attacco, il mio obiettivo questa mattina era quello di puntare ai traguardi volanti e così abbiamo fatto. Sono felice di essere riuscito a portarmi in testa a questa speciale classifica, come mi aveva richiesto il team, anche se il Giro è ancora lungo e nonostante le cinque tappe corse all’attacco non è finita qui. Ora penso solo a recuperare perché domani ci aspetta lo Zoncolan.”

Con i 195 km di fuga odierni salgono così a 665 i km totali percorsi in fuga da Umberto Marengo in questo Giro d’Italia, mentre sono più di 1.500 quelli percorsi dall’intero team andato all’attacco con tutti i suoi 8 uomini, terminando nei primi 10 di tappa ben 6 volte. BARDIANI CSF FAIZANÈ: UMBERTO MARENGO IS THE NEW INTERMEDIATE SPRINT LEADER OF THE GIRO d’ITALIA.

With today's two intermediate sprint, Umberto Marengo is the new leader of the special ranking that will be awarded on the final podium in Milan. Counting also today, the stages run in the breakaway by the Turin rider have risen to five. Fifteenth of stage Filippo Fiorelli.

Umberto Marengo: "Another day in the attack, my goal this morning was to aim for intermediate sprint and so we did. I am happy to have managed to take me to the top of this special classification, as the team had asked me to, even the fil Giro is still long and despite the five stages raced in the attack it is not over here. Now I'm just thinking about recovering because Zoncolan awaits us tomorrow. "

With the 195 km of today's breakaway, the total km covered by Umberto Marengo in this Giro d'Italia rise to 665, while more than 1,500 those covered by the entire team went on the attack with all its 8 men, ending in the first 10 of the stage 6 times.
