BARDIANI CSF FAIZANÈ: SECONDA FUGA DI ALESSANDRO TONELLI. 176KM ALL’ATTACCO NELLA TAPPA 13 DEL GIRO D’ITALIA.

Alessandro Tonelli centra la sua seconda fuga in questo Giro d’Italia. 176km corsi all’attacco, l’ultimo dei fuggitivi di giornata a mollare ripreso dal gruppetto dei migliori a 16 km dal traguardo. Sull’arrivo di Monselice il migliore del team è Filippo Zana 31° bravo a tenere le ruote dei migliori in gara.

Una bella azione di Alessandro Tonelli, la sua seconda in questo Giro d’Italia,corsa con grande grinta e determinazione. Tonelli è infatti stato l’ultimo dei 7 attaccanti di giornata a essere riassorbito dal gruppo dei migliori sull’ultimo GPM di giornata a circa 16km dal traguardo.

Queste le parole di Alessandro Tonelli dopo il traguardo di Monselice:

“Oggi di nuovo impegnativo entrare in fuga come in tutto questo Giro d’Italia, strade larghe era difficile andare via. Ci abbiamo provato in cinque a rotazione, io ho seguito Bouchard in un tratto con vento laterale e con tre “menate” siamo riusciti ad andare via. Siamo andati via regolare assecondando il gruppo che non ci lasciava mai più di due minuti. Negli ultimi 70km di gara abbiamo spinto bene in doppia fila e dai -25 km abbiamo accelerato per davvero. Ho attaccato in salita su entrambi i GPM facendo selezione, ma dietro venivano su molto forte e a 300 metri dall’ultimo GPM siamo stati ripresi dal gruppetto maglia rosa già molto ridotto a una ventina di unità. Ho provato a tenere duro ma dopo tutta la giornata in fuga le gambe non ce la facevano a tenere ancora il ritmo.”

Nel gruppo dei migliori bravo a resistere Filippo Zana sulle strade del suo Veneto anche se ancora non nella sua provincia. 31° posto per lui sull’arrivo.

Alessandro Tonelli went in his second breakaway of this Giro d’Italia. 176km in the breakaway and the last rider to give up, caught by the best group just 16km before the finish-line. On the finish-line the best rider of the team has been Filippo Zana 31st.

A great action by Alessandro Tonelli, his second in this Giro d'Italia, racing with great grit and determination. Alessandro Tonelli was in fact the last of the 7 forwards of the day to be reabsorbed by the group of the best on the last GPM of the day about 16km from the finish.

These are the words of Alessandro Tonelli after the finish line in Monselice:

"Today again challenging to get on the breakaway as in all this Giro d'Italia, wide roads it was difficult to leave. Five of us tried in rotation, I followed the AG2R rider and we finally went away. We went off smoothly, following the group that never left us for more than two minutes and then from -25km to the arrival we accelerated for real. I attacked uphill on both GPMs making selection, but they came up very strong behind and 300 meters from the last GPM we were caught up by the pink jersey group already very small to about twenty riders. I tried to hold on but after the whole day on the run my legs couldn't keep up with the pace. "

In the group of the best good to resist Filippo Zana on the roads of his Veneto even if not yet in his province. 31st place for him on arrival.
