BARDIANI CSF FAIZANÈ: L’ALBUM È COMPLETO, ECCO GLI 8 NOMI PER IL GIRO D’ITALIA.

Gli 8 atleti sono stati svelati sui social del team, uno al giorno dal 22 al 29 settembre, per “completare l’album virtuale” dei convocati per il Giro d’Italia n.103. Scalatori, un velocista, attaccanti per le fughe, ma soprattutto un team tutto italiano, con età media di 23 anni e 3 neo-professionisti al via.

Una formazione giovane, italiana, in linea con i valori del #GreenTeam e pronta ad affrontare all’attacco le 21 tappe del Giro d’Italia n.103. Conferme e alcune sorprese tra i convocati scelti da Bruno e Roberto Reverberi, insieme ai Direttori Sportivi Mirko Rossato e Alessandro Donati in vista della competizione più importante della stagione. Gli 8 nomi sono stati svelati sui social ufficiali del team, uno al giorno, da Giovanni Carboni svelato il 22 settembre, a Giovanni Lonardi, ufficializzato oggi 29 settembre.

LA FORMAZIONE.

Una formazione ben assortita che vedrà al via un atleta completo come Giovanni Carboni, già in maglia bianca al Giro per 4 tappe nel 2019, dove colse anche due top5 di tappa. L’atleta più esperto del team al via sarà Alessandro Tonelli, che dopo aver collezionato oltre 1.000km in fuga tra Milano-Sanremo, Milano-Torino, Il Lombardia, Tirreno-Adriatico e Campionato Italiano ci riproverà anche nelle tappe del Giro d’Italia. Per gli arrivi in volata toccherà al più giovane velocista del team, Giovanni Lonardi, con 3 vittorie in carriera e due top10 colte al Giro d’Italia 2019. Una gara esigente come il Giro d’Italia richiede corridori abili in salita, per questo le scelte dei Direttori Sportivi sono andate su due atleti come Luca Covili e Francesco Romano (al suo primo Giro d’Italia) potenziali protagonisti con attacchi da lontano anche nelle tappe più impegnative. Completano la formazione tre neo-professionisti che affronteranno il Giro al loro primo anno nel team e nel professionismo. Si tratta del siciliano Filippo Fiorelli, che vedrà la corsa rosa partire proprio dalla sua Palermo e sarà quindi spinto da grandi motivazioni. Con lui due giovanissimi, tra i più giovani fra tutti i partenti di questa edizione n.103. Si tratta di Fabio Mazzucco e Filippo Zana, entrambi classe 1999 e pronti a stupire e insieme accumulare importante esperienza per il futuro.

LE DICHIARAZIONI.
Queste le parole di Roberto Reverberi, sulle scelte effettuate dal team: “In questi pochi mesi di attività abbiamo chiesto a tutti i nostri atleti di dimostrarci di meritare una convocazione per la corsa rosa. Purtroppo non da tutti abbiamo ricevuto le risposte che ci aspettavamo, gli 8 convocati hanno dimostrato impegno, dedizione e talento in prospettiva. Da tutti e 8 ci aspettiamo massimo impegno, anche se ovviamente arrivano a questo Giro in momenti diversi della loro giovane carriera e quindi ovviamente ci attendiamo maggiori risposte e responsabilità da chi ha più esperienza, mentre più brillantezza e voglia di stupire da parte dei più giovani. Saremo al via con 4 atleti su 8 al loro primo Giro d’Italia e con ben 3 neo-professionisti. Considerando le 21 tappe che ci attendono, pur consci  del livello degli avversari, pensiamo di poter svolgere una corsa che ci veda protagonisti, cercando la vittoria anche con azioni da lontano."

La Bardiani CSF Faizanè conferma quindi ancora una volta la propria vocazione, schierando al via della Corsa Rosa una formazione completamente italiana e con un’età media di 23,6 anni. saranno 4 gli atleti alla loro prima partecipazione in un Grande Giro (Romano, Fiorelli, Mazzucco e Zana) e ben 3 i neo-professionisti.

Appuntamento quindi in televisione, tutti i pomeriggi su Raisport e Rai2 a cominciare dalla Team Presentation di questo giovedì 1° ottobre dalle 17.30 su Raisport. La prima tappa prenderà invece il via sabato 3 ottobre da Palermo. Tappa conclusiva prevista per domenica 25 ottobre a Milano.

The 8 riders were unveiled on the team's social networks, one per day from 22 to 29 September, to "complete the virtual album" of those called up for the Giro d'Italia n.103. A young and Italian line-up, in line with the values of the #GreenTeam is ready to face the 21 stages of the Giro d’Italia n.103. Confirmations and some surprises among the squads chosen by Bruno and Roberto Reverberi, together with Sports Directors Mirko Rossato and Alessandro Donati looking forward to the most important competition of the season for the team. The 8 names were unveiled on the team's official social media channels, one per day, from Giovanni Carboni unveiled on September 22, to Giovanni Lonardi, made official today September 29.

THE COMPLETE LINE-UP.

A well-balanced line-up that will see a complete rider such as Giovanni Carboni at the start, already wearing the white jersey at the Giro for 4 stages in 2019, where he also took two stage top5s. The most experienced rider of the team at the start will be Alessandro Tonelli, who after having collected over 1,000km of breakaway ride between Milan-Sanremo, Milan-Turin, Lombardy, Tirreno-Adriatico and the Italian Championship is know ready to attack also in Giro d'Italia . For the sprint arrivals it will be up to the youngest sprinter of the team, Giovanni Lonardi, with 3 career victories and two top 10 at Giro d’Italia in 2019 season. A demanding race like the Giro d'Italia requires skilled riders on climbs, for this reason the choices of the Sports Directors went to two climbers such as Luca Covili and Francesco Romano (in his first Giro d'Italia) potential protagonists with attacks from afar even in the most demanding stages. The lineup is completed by three neo-pro who will face the Giro in their first year in the team and in professionalism. They are the Sicilian Filippo Fiorelli, who will see the pink race start right from his Palermo and will therefore be driven by great motivations. With him two very young, among the youngest among all the starters of this edition n.103. They are Fabio Mazzucco and Filippo Zana, both born in 1999 and ready man some surprise in breakaways and together accumulate important experience for the future.

These are the words of Roberto Reverberi, on the choices made by the team: “In these few months of activity we have asked to all our riders to show us that they deserve a call for the pink race. We receive one answer but not by everyone expected, so the 8 riders called up showed commitment, dedication and talent in perspective. From each one of them we expect maximum commitment, even if obviously they arrive at this Giro at different times of their young career and therefore obviously we expect more responses and responsibilities from those with more experience, while more brilliance and desire to amaze from the youngest. We will be at the start with 4 out of 8 athletes on their first Giro d'Italia and with 3 neo-pro. Considering the 21 stages that await us, even though we are aware of the level of our opponents, we think we can carry out a race that sees us as protagonists, seeking victory even with actions from afar."

Bardiani CSF Faizanè once again confirms its mission, with a line-up entirely Italian at the start of the Corsa Rosa with an average age of 23.6 years old. There will be 4 riders at their first participation in a Grand Tour (Romano, Fiorelli, Mazzucco and Zana) and 3 neo-pro.

Every day the team will be live on TV. Every afternoon on Raisport and Rai2 starting with the Team Presentation of this Thursday 1 October at 5.30 pm on Raisport. The first stage will then start on Saturday 3rd October from Palermo. Final stage scheduled for Sunday 25th October in Milan.
