The Bigla Pro Cycling Team is pleased to welcome Stephanie Pohl to the team for 2016. The 27 year old is the current world champion in the Points Race on the track and a multiple German champion.
She has shown great potential in the individual time trial on the road and will add to the team’s passion for the discipline. With the Olympic games approaching next year, Pohl will be splitting her time between the road and the track.
“In the past years I have always paid attention to professional teams,” she said. “I like the team structure of the Bigla Pro Cycling Team and the public appearance very much.”
When asked which role she sees herself playing in the team, she said, “I want to perform all the tasks of the team as much possible. I want to be a team player and definitely add to the success of the team. I’d also like to develop myself on the road. I’ve had discussion with the team and they will be supporting me on the track as I want to participate at the Olympic Games.”
Team Manager, Thomas Campana said, “With Stephanie, we have someone who can focus on the time trials and add firepower to the TTT. She’s been splitting her time between the road and track and has been switching between the disciplines quite successfully. When on the road, she’s been consistently close to the top riders in the overall standings and that’s something we are looking forward to working on.”
