May, 13, 2022 - On May 23rd, World Time Trial Champion Ellen van Dijk will take on the UCI Hour Record timed by Tissot at the Tissot Velodrome in Grenchen. A complete live production will be broadcast worldwide, available to stream online at trek.bike/EllenHourRecord starting at 5 PM CEST, Swiss local time.
Trek-Segafredo star Lizzie Deignan (currently on maternity leave) will provide commentary alongside cycling legend and former Hour Record holder Jens Voigt.
Local fans, or anyone wishing to make the journey to Grenchen, are encouraged to come to the Tissot Velodrome to cheer on Ellen. The event will be free to attend for everyone.
Trek-Segafredo has partnered with Swiss-based charity Greenhope which organizes events to provide children with cancer, and their families, with happy and carefree moments. Attendees, and those watching from home, will be able to donate money to Greenhope with Trek matching the total donations raised during the Hour attempt.
