Second place in Crescent Vårgårda TTT
The race forms part of the UCI Women's WorldTour and was raced over 42.5km. “We’re very happy,” Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio said. “We knew coming into the event we didn’t have Stephie [Pohl] who is one of our strongest TT riders but we had a fantastic result and surprised ourselves. The TTT is a special event and reflects our character as a team and shows that we are such a strong unit.” World Champions Boels Dolman's won in a time of 53 minutes 39 seconds, 13 seconds faster than Cervélo Bigla. Canyon SRAM completed the podium trailing the winners by 51 seconds. “We have two new comers compared to last year, Clara [Koppenburg] and Cille [Uttrup Ludwig] and we did an amazing run,” Lotta Lepistö said. “I am super happy for Clara to be on the WorldTour podium for the first time. We had a really good rhythm. The preparation coming into the race was intense. We tried to do our best and focus really well in training. We knew what to expect from last year but we have some changes in the line up so we had to adapt but the staff are really motivated and did an incredible job to support us.” Racing in Sweden continues this weekend with the road race on Sunday. |
