Race Preview: Premondiale Giro Toscana Int
The race takes place from 9 – 11 September and comprises three stages, an opening prologue and two road stages. The team line up includes: Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio, Lotta Lepistö, Gabrielle Pilot-Fortin, Nicole Hanselmann, Lisa Klein, Clara Koppenburg and Stephanie Pohl “I have done this race once before in 2011 and last year I missed it through illness,” Moolman-Pasio said. “I’ve looked at the stages and the stage on Sunday looks the hardest. We had the jersey in the team and lost it on the last day last year which shows how hard it is. I think the race will be suited to us. I’ve come from illness but have been feeling good and had some good training. We have a few cards to play and I think it’s going to be a fun weekend,” she added. 20 teams will start the race, 12 international and 8 Italian with 160 starters expected.
