Aviva Women's Tour: How the race was won.
On the last day of The Women's Tour, the team's job was to defend Ashleigh Moolman Pasio's second place on the overall standings. Lotta Lepistö slipped into an 8-rider breakaway to take away any bonus seconds available on the last stage. When the breakaway's gap started threatening Ashleigh's position on the general classification, the team helped in the chase which meant Lotta could sit on in the break and save her legs. The team was happy for the gap to the break to stay at one minute, when it dropped below one minute, Lotta attacked the break to increase the gap. The gap to the break got bigger which meant they stayed away and Lotta won the final stage and Ashleigh finished 2nd on the general classification. Cycling is a team sport.
