ARLENIS SIERRA VINCE LA 1A TAPPA AL TOUR DE L'ARDECHE
 Non si ferma la bellissima striscia vincente di Arlenis Sierra: dopo le tre vittorie al Giro della Toscana, due tappe e la classifica finale, la campionessa cubana della A.R. Monex Liv Women's Pro Cycling Team si è imposta oggi nella prima tappa del Tour de l'Ardèche, conquistando di conseguenza anche la prima maglia di leader della generale. La corsa francese si è aperta oggi con una frazione di 112 chilometri da Aubenas a Barjac con due gran premi della montagna e l'ultimo chilometro caratterizzato da una leggera pendenza all'insù: il gruppo di testa che si è giocato la vittoria era composto da 60 atlete e la volata ha visto Arlenis Sierra prevalere in prima posizione davanti dall'ex campionessa del mondo Marta Bastianelli.
«La tappa non è stata facile - spiega Arlenis Sierra - perché c'era molto vento, ed infatti ad un certo punto il gruppo si è un po' rotto. Però devo ammettere che in questo periodo mi sento davvero molto bene e sono contenta di essere riuscita ad ottenere un'altra vittoria, in una corsa dove avevo già vinto una tappa nel 2018». Nelle prossime tappe ci sono tante salite che non sono adatte a me, proveremo tutti a fare del nostro meglio ma questa vittoria rende già positivo il bilancio». Sul podio della premiazioni di giornata, oltre ad Arlenis Sierra, è salita anche la vicentina Katia Ragusa per indossare la maglia di leader dei gran premi della montagna.

ARLENIS SIERRA WINS STAGE 1 OF TOUR DE L'ARDECHE
 The beautiful winning streak of Arlenis Sierra does not stop: after the three victories in the Giro della Toscana, two stages and the final classification, the Cuban champion of the A.R. Monex Liv Women's Pro Cycling Team won today in the first stage of the Tour de l'Ardèche, consequently conquering the first overall leader jersey. The French race opened today with a 112 kilometer stage from Aubenas to Barjac with two queen of the mountain passes and the last kilometer characterized by a slight upward slope: the leading group that fought for the victory was made up of 60 riders and the sprint saw Arlenis Sierra prevail in first position in front of the former world champion Marta Bastianelli.
«The stage was not easy - explains Arlenis Sierra - because there was a lot of wind, and in fact at a certain point the peloton broke a bit. But I have to admit that in this period I feel really good and I am happy to have managed to get another victory, in a race where I had already won a stage in 2018». In the next stages there are many climbs that are not suitable for me, we will all try to do our best but this victory already makes the balance positive». On the podium of the day's awards ceremony, in addition to Arlenis Sierra, Italian Katia Ragusa also climbed to wear the jersey of leader of the queen of the mountain classification.
